I'll second this. Shout got a replacement sent out lightening fast one time when an item arrived damaged. Process was quick and painless.

I've dealt with Kino's customer service two times and they have been very nice and went the extra mile.

I’ve ordered dozens of Kino blu rays directly from them and have never had a problem with their service or the quality of any of their releases, including and especially the aesthetics of their presentations. Frankly, I want to be abused online by the Kino Lorber Insider. He’s earned the right.

You must not have purchased Bitter Moon or any of their other problematic releases with incorrect gamma or errors that KLI refuses to acknowledge.

She wasn’t dealing with Shout’s and Kino’s customer service. These were business deals that had to do with top executives for the labels.

As for customer service itself, my own experience as a consumer is that Shout has been a mixed bag, sometimes very reliable and resourceful, sometimes not. Very inconsistent. KINO’s customer service for me has been standard, nothing extraordinary, but no substantial complaints and at least for me, nothing at all like the social media representation you mentioned. That particular facet of their company bewilders me, alienating the very people whom your business is dependent upon for success. I learned the hard way to keep my distance from that.

Either it is an error on Target's part or they have decided to no longer carry Scream product.

Anybody have anything to say about Hunter Hunter? I uncharacteristically ordered it last night knowing fully well that a Shout sale is likely right around the corner, but I needed something equivalent to its price for free shipping and I got really pumped after reading more about it yesterday.

I'm a huge survivalist fan, and something filmed in the autumnal, rustic Canadian woods will be a perfect to way to kick off my October viewing. It sounds like it does a good job with characters and atmosphere, in addition to subverting expectations.

Can't wait!

Shout has direct sales every once in a while, where many titles go from $9.99 to $14.97. Make sure you sub to the Movie Deals forum so you don't miss them. One just ended a few weeks ago. (you can see the titles included in that sale here, although a bunch of sold-out ones were removed and it no longer shows the sale pricing, just regular pricing now: https://www.shoutfactory.com/sale/sh...ket-to-savings)

Barnes & Noble has a 40% off sale sometimes.

The Target/Amazon B2G1 is another good way to get some good-priced Shout Titles too (although inventory for Shout is dropping rather quickly and scarily at Target recently.) Next one should be mid-October.

Use CamelCamelCamel Amazon price tracking to keep an eye on the titles you want, for Amazon price drops. Plus there's sometimes additional coupons.

Save eBay searches and you'll get email notifications for new listings. I've gotten a lot of good Shout deals that way.

etc, etc. With all of this, you can usually get what you want for $10-$15 if you're patient enough. Or just pull the trigger at $18-$20 sometimes if you can't wait or really want the slip.
