Any chance the Shocktober sale will include releases from the past few months? Or will it be just older titles?

It will be a mix of both older and stuff from this year, but the heaviest of discounts will be on the older stuff. I wouldn't expect anything from the past 4 months on there either.

Their 5th anniversary sale was awesome back in the day. Decent sale prices with all titles available. They haven't done a sale like that since.

Is it known why Scream Factory still hasn’t put out the Carnosaur films?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I wanted a couple of the more recent releases to go on sale and Target doesn't carry them. Guess I'll be waiting a while for those to go on sale.

They haven't really released much else from the Corman catalog since 2018. The majority of the releases from the past two years are new masters from titles they previously released to Blu-ray or DVD, with a new title here and there.

Code Red is supposedly going to release Carnosaur 2, but they don't seem interested in picking up the other films in the series. I guess it will either be a case of Shout getting around to it (as a limited release), or licensing them to somewhere else (probably as a limited release).

That’s just strange to me; after acquiring the Corman Catalog one would think you would like to use those rights more. Hoped for an entry in their Steelbook line, if a Box Set wouldn’t be in the cards.

They were killing it in 2018, then there was the lawsuit, and things went quiet for awhile, and then they just started doing Steelbooks and limited release editions.

It's possible sales were not good for the few titles they did release in 2018. They did drop Val Lewton because of low sales, though the big difference with Corman is that they bought the entire catalog.

I'd honestly prefer if they would just license the titles out to smaller labels that can handle low sales. Shout's quota has grown too large, they're not going to risk releasing obscure little films anymore. Their limited edition method doesn't work for me, they usually sell out long before I'm ready to buy. I rather they be handled like Lawnmower Man 2.

Shout does TV and streaming deals for the Corman catalog, so it's not like they're not making money from it.

I’m definitely hoping the older titles I want will get discounted. I had to miss out on the big Amazon sale back in July, so Shocktober looks like my last chance to stock up on Scream titles for good prices before the next round of titles go OOP.

Well each movie comes with a regular blu ray so I'll still be able to watch the movies.

I’m also getting them for the new transfers and special features I don’t have… as for the UHD copy, I see that as future proofing since I’ll be upgrading eventually.

They aren’t the first UHD/BD combo packs I’ve gotten and they won’t be the last

does the cart count mean anything to how many SF have in stock or does it just go 1-9, you can't add more than 10+, only asking because I want to get the Women In Cages BD set (which is a big favorite I had no idea they had until last year) and it only goes to 1!
there are no signs its going oop despite being an old title, I just thought I'd get a confirmation on how they're cart count works
