Hey fellow Scream fans.. the BD review of Captain America said it was a 'Collectors Edition'.. does this mean it comes with a slipcover?

Thats a real coup for Scream to get JLC to talk not only about The Fog but her other horror movies too. They really are on another level from everyone else imo.great to have another Horror's Hallowed Grounds episode on the way too.

I highly doubt it. But you never know.

The Fog is shaping up to be Scream's finest release yet.

I really like that fact that Scream was able to get her to do it. I know it must have cost them a lot but I know it'll be worth it. She's only done one con and I heard she was really sweet and awesome to talk to. I regret not being able to go cause I would have loved to get Halloween signed.

I could certainly see a few (late) 60's titles, but any 50's ones would be, if anything, DVD-only double-features and/or four-packs. I love 50's sci-fi/horror, so believe me I'd love to be wrong, but I can't see the financial numbers adding up for Scream.
It all amounts to trying to grab as many possible horror fans as possible. Just like "The Incredible Melting Man" likely won't hit the younger audience as well as some of their other titles, some 50s and 60s sci-fi/horror would obviously hit other demographics, but potentially still appeal to the younger crowd. Obviously, I doubt very many of them would end up being Collector's Editions, but there's certainly a good chance of them profiting from embracing as many horror films as possible. "The Brain from Planet Arous" and "Attack of the Crab Monsters" may not get the same number of buys as "Halloween II" or "They Live", but there's certainly an audience for those types of films. Consider this: If the Scream Factory brand becomes strong enough, some younger viewers may buy these titles up because of their faith in the brand, even if they're unsure of the product.

What's the deal with Scream Factory and slipcases, out of interest. Only Collector's Edition get them, yeah? So The Town That Dreaded Sundown and The Burning will? Is it purely the first print run? How likely picking up the likes of Terror Train, for example, am I to find a copy with a slipcover?

Not sure about the latter, but I'll correct you on the former: "The Burning" is a Collector's Edition, while "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" is not.

Watched "Deadly Blessings" and "The Nest" last night. I liked them both but the Nest was the better of the 2, I loved the 80's cheesy fun and the "Queen" Cockroach was awesome.

Yeah. Not to mention they'd be looking for something to watch on the month of October.

You're correct, only Collector's Edition get slipcases, out of the two you mentioned only The Burning is a CE so it will include a slipcase. If you pick up Terror Train it will the include the slipcase. Every CE come with a slipcase that will be there for the rest of its run.
I recently bought the first batch of Scream titles again for a friend and they included the slipcase.

She's discussing her entire scream queen career in only 20 minutes? Doesn't seem very long. Still, I'm glad they were able to get her for an interview.

I was on the fence for the Fog since I had just watched it last October, but those extras sold me. I'm really looking forward to that commentary. The more Tom Atkins, the better.

Dean Cundey is a god, and his word is law.
Don't question it.
