And OF COURSE it dropped from $27 to $23.80 on Amazon a day after I ordered it and it already shipped.

Surprised we haven't gotten the official announcements after the leaks. I'm hoping we get at least 1-2 surprises maybe from Shout Select.

I doubt that it's within the realm of possibility given the production challenges everyone is facing these days, but I'd laugh if Shout Factory was somehow able to pull off delaying all the leaked titles for a month and instead swapping whatever they had planned for April in their place instead. Yeah we'd still know about the leaked titles, but Shout could either a) dump them a month later as noted, or b) decide to sprinkle them in throughout the rest of the year just to throw everyone off.

I don't see any of that happening of course, but given that all of the recent leaks have come from one retailer who has apparently finally gotten the message about not posting listings early, it would be funny (to me) to see.

Still not sure why they haven't announced Cool World, Trekkies, or Jennifer 8 yet. The latter two are on various retail sites with a March release date, so it's pretty odd they're not on the site yet.

I'm also waiting for Cool World. Maybe they caught an error prior to release? Maybe Bakshi agreed to record an interview?

$13 after Amazon's $15 off $25 app coupon. Happy it arrived with slip.

Check the deals forum. It only works if you've never used the Amazon app before and you have to wait at least a day (Amazon says 48 hrs, but I only waited ~30) to get the second coupon.

Yea I’m not sure I’m really interested in any of those either. Candyman would have to get to a really great price. Even though I love the film I’m more then happy with my current BD copy.

Unlike many of the previously announced/released 4k upgrades, Candyman stands a decent chance at getting upgraded, but I just don't watch the film all that often to justify a day one purchase. I think an even bigger issue for me however is just the way these horror films were filmed. So many of them lack the polish to fully take advantage of what Blu Ray has to offer, let alone 4k. Yeah there is often a bit of an upgrade, but between low quality film stock, intentionally soft focus, excessive grain, low budget, etc, etc that so many films have, I'm often quite satisfied with a Blu Ray offering alone.

That all said, if all these 4k offerings eventually make their way into future Shout Sales and come down to around $15 each... I'll likely buy each and every one.

Picked up Funhouse Massacre at Big Lots for 5 bucks. My god, this movies has the worst protagonist and characters ever. The only tolerable ones were the main cop and Bumblebee girl. I was hoping everyone else would get killed, especially the dumbass cop; dude was ****in' annoying.

The killers were fine, but Bob Rooney was misused and the weakest. The kills and gore were solid; plenty of it. There were some deaths that were definitely underwhelming.

Would be better priced at $3, but since I'm trying to add more Scream Factory blus (and occasional DVDs) to my collection, I don't mind paying the 5. I had a discount anyway.

I wouldn't put Candyman as one of those shoestring "friends on a weekend" horror productions, it's pretty polished with some great moody cinematography and could look terrific in UHD.

I'm also quite happy with the Candyman Blu-ray. Much of the film takes place inside buildings and dreary urban settings in overcast weather - not sure I want to see this is 4K resolution A soundtrack on CD might entice me, though.

Was Alligator their last BIG announcement? Feels like it's been forever.

I know about the rumored ones, just feels like forever since they announced anything big.

Early onset dementia yes, but it has stabilized, and he has continued to work.

Yes. He also has MS unfortunately. He mentioned dementia in an interview a couple of years ago.
