I usually proceed with caution when it comes to modern films but I've heard mostly positive things about CURSED and it's a Wes Craven film so that guarantees a blind buy from me. The Death Day films, OTOH, are a bit of a stretch. Frankly, I find it a little odd that Shout would choose two very recent films for UHD treatment. I'm just gonna grab the currently available Blu-rays and call it a day. I figure if Shout is willing to give them royal treatment these must at least be decent time killers but probably not enough for pricey UHDs.

Wow, don't hear many people bring up Brother. I still have my DVD and would love an upgrade on that one, and of course a great edition of Sonatine as well. But Brother was a favorite of mine in my early 20s, I thought Takeshi was the coolest guy ever at that point while watching that movie. I loved the Shirase character as well.

pretty underwhelming announcements...

I apologize to fans-- but CURSED sucks... pass.

Happy Death Day (s) in 4k... who cares? The blu rays look great on their own and 4k isn't gonna be any radical leap..

Night Creatures--- cool slip cover-- fun movie-- I'll upgrade this one if they fix the aspect ratio....

Yeah it's a good one. Outside of Battle Royale it was my first exposure to Takeshi Kitano. After finding out the US version was cut I even tracked down the Japanese release to see it uncensored and have been hoping for it to be fully uncut in the US since then. Pretty awesome gangster film that really need a Blu-ray release here.

Arrow and SF have worked together in the past.

Though if they can’t be included for whatever reason, I’d be fine if Scream just leaves space in the box (should there be one) for the Arrow releases.

I don't think I've ever heard, seen or read anything, like at all, positive related to the film and with good reason. This isn't one of those undiscovered classics or some underrated film that warrants some sort of reappraisal or cult following, it's just terrible all around. Since, it's a pretty safe bet they won't manage to include the original cut, the only reason to buy this release is if they somehow get to cover with no filter and in detail the troubled production history of the film (which is far more interestering than the film itself).
That being said, hopefully the licensing and release of this films bodes well for other Miramax titles, like the Halloween sequels(I only really want Halloween 6 and H20) or at they very least if not hopefully Paramount releases them themselves.

Godzilla vs Biollante
Back in November Drafthouse did several Godzilla theatrical screenings and Biollante, along with Return of Godzilla, both had the Janus Films logo at the start and looked like some restoration work had been done, especially Return, making me hopeful that there's a Heisei era set coming from Criterion eventually.

I think Miramax's license for Biollante expired a while ago.

Can anyone remember the source of the UHD info for The Fog and Army of Darkness? I'm trying to add where these first titles leaked to page #1 so folks can follow along if they're curious.

Also related, but the Candyman UHD link on b2bdealsrus is back up, but the link notes "the Kings Daughter" in the link and so something is going on with that one.

Between concerts, movies and other random things I've got several dozens of posters. More posters than I'll ever have wall space at this point.

I drop most of them in these guys.

A bit cumbersome at that size, but they slide under a couch or something easy enough to be out of the way. And the posters get looked at much often than if they were in tubes (which would basically be never).

The few posters I actually have framed are mostly fancier screen-printed concert posters and I've gotten those professionally done, so can't help much with DIY frame recommendations.

Not sure about The Fog but I believe this was where the Army 4K was announced:

Probably why they didn't use it for their main cover.
