We didn’t grab drinks or anything but I’d call that a brief meeting. He didn’t seem too approachable outside the hotel later but I could understand his frustration a little.

The Prime Directive mini-series? I rented that from Netflix many years ago and recall being so disappointed by the first installment that I didn't even bother watching the other three.

Never seen Robocop 3 but have always wanted to just out of curiosity.

I don't think I've ever watched RoboCop 3... It's in my unwatched pile but I still need to get 2...

Imagine the end result if the project, and it's $22 million production budget, had instead been handed over to Cannon Films with Sam Firstenberg replacing Fred Dekker and Sho Kosugi replacing Bruce Locke. It wouldn't have been a good movie; it would've been the BEST movie.

RoboCop 3 is indeed shit. Sometimes I think I should re-watch it and give it another chance, but then I'm like... nah...

RoboCop 2 slaps, though. I like it a lot.

Meh, the only one worth watching is the first Robocop. The second one is not bad and I do love the final battle with Cain, but it just doesn't compare to the original.

I watched "Eyes of a Stranger" over the weekend, which is a really effective, meat and potatoes slasher. Jennifer Jason Leigh does a terrific job in her debut and there are some surprisingly nasty kills in this one. The Miami setting also lends the film quite a bit of novelty.

But what really takes the film up a few notches is the superbly creepy, realistic performance of John DiSanti as serial killer Stanley Herbert. DiSanti lends a sense of chilling everyman anonymity to the character, as he coldly goes around stalking and murdering women. "Eyes of a Stranger" really exceeded my expectations, highly recommended.

Rewatched it last week for a second time since picking it up last year. Agreed. Hitchcockian vibes, pretty likeable proactive female protagonist (I love when she calls the killer) and good kills sprinkled throughout. Great double feature with VS release of Shallow Grave

Yes, the scene where she calls the killer kicks ass for sure.

Robocop 2 is insane in both good and bad ways. I recommend it because its got great commentary still and one of the main villains is quite different lol

Isn't Return of the Living Dead with MGM? That would mean we would have to wait until Amazon decides what to do about licensing (if anything).

Death wish 2, x-ray, hard rock zombies, schizoid are all mgm too, so I think it's not a problem.

Kino just made a new MGM deal after the Amazon buyout.

I haven't followed shout as much, although I have a good number of their disks and and satisfied with most of them... So can anyone who is a regular in this thread tell me if it's likely or at least possible that shout will either re-release the Vincent Price volume 1 or have individual releases of the films? Kino lorber insider told me in that thread that shout renewed the films off of volume 1 but Kl just released a dual of both phibes films so that can't be totally right.

I could probably get volume 1 for about 50 60 bucks still but who knows for how much longer.
