Agreed. The last thing I wanted with this release was just a bunch of talking head features. There is a ton of EPK materials, deleted scenes, tv cuts, etc to more than make for an awesome collectors edition release. If all we end up with is a bunch of talking heads I will likely be cancelling my pre-order and waiting for a sale sometime in the future.

If this happens I can only assume that Universal will have denied Shout Factory the ability to use those materials, and if that's the case, it does make you wonder if they don't have their own 4k release planned for a year from this August that will be including those items. Typically the Universal releases have been barebones compared to Shout's releases, but if they have wised up to how the collector market works, doing their own release a year later after having already licensed out the films now would be a way to maximize profits given that pretty much everyone would want the edition with the tv cut/additional deleted scenes content.

Hopefully this is a case of Shout Factory just letting Amazon know the items that were a done deal and for sure going to be on the release at the time of them sending over the retail info and not the exhaustive list. I know in the past there were occasions where info was held back until it was guaranteed to be included and so maybe negotiations for the older materials were still ongoing?

That's what I'm hoping. Until Shout posts the extras list themselves I won't consider it final. There's barely any archival stuff listed for CP2, no TV spots or the VHS sales video. Maybe they can only confirm the newly produced material for now.

Child's Play 2 won an award for advertising, I'm pretty sure. The Jack in the Box one. Be a shame if they left that and the deleted stuff off.

Wasn't a lot of behind the scenes footage discovered for this one a few years ago? Doesn't look to be included here.

I'm just glad there's a new scan. That's the first thing I look for whenever something new gets announced. I'll only watch a talking head once.

I’ve tried soo many times but just can’t get into Halloween III. I think maybe it’s because I honestly couldn’t care less about the dead-beat dad main character lol. Definitely a weird way to introduce a character we’re supposed to root for. Also, the “romance” in the film falls completely flat for me. The mask-melting sequence is pretty iconic though.

You care not for Tom "Dead-Beat Dad" Atkins? The man is horror royalty.

For Child's Play 3, it would be pretty cool if they included these rare concept posters in a still gallery.

They were discovered in 2017 by Stephen Snowdon.

There’s 11 total. Here’s the original Bloody Disgusting article:

I mean Tom’s alright but the character leaves a lot to be desired lol. I prefer him in The Fog for sure.

What's not to like about middle-aged alcoholic doctors who shack up with girls a couple years removed from high school algebra class?

I'm with you on that except for 3 which is a favorite of mine. I actually think the theatrical cuts of the Zombie films are pretty well done and while I have the Canadian two pack, it would be nice to finally have them here as well with a nice special edition.

Same for H6 + Resurrection. I seen both in the theaters...opening weekend + a few times since then. I know that I am in the minority, but they are mostly shit for me.

I'm SO excited that Scream re-ordered CARRIE the COLLECTOR'S edition. I kept kicking myself for not getting it before and now I got my chance. Already delivered and am enjoying the large collection of extra features.

It going back in print makes me think that a UHD is in the cards, just like with Child's Play and Escape From New York.

You might be right.....and while I'm glad to have a second chance at owning the Special Collector's Edition of Carrie....I wish it came with a slip cover. Oh well....at least I got the film.
