That's a bold statement and I applaud you for having the courage to speak for those of us that can't or won't.

Comic-CON indeed. What an overhyped BOREgasm, at least in regards to Scream Factory title announcements. In five days Halloween will be three months away. Usually, title announcements are made two to three months prior to release date, so they really don't have much time left to go silent.
Who overhyped it though? Certainly not Shout as they didn't even say they were going to announce a damn thing. Blame the people in this thread for getting overly excited based on very little. The only people that "conned" you are your fellow members here.

True Mify, BUT they didn't say they weren't going to make a big announcement either

Shout/Scream announced an impressive lineup for September including The Fog 4K, Army of Darkness 4K, Evil Dead (2013) 4K, Platoon 4K, Cool World, etc.. Why on earth are people freaking out that October announcements aren't here yet? If they announced these caliber of titles for September, shouldn't that lead you to believe they have some great titles lined up for October? And who really gives a shit whether it was announced at Comic Con or not, does that somehow make them come quicker? Whether it's announced now, next week, or in a month, they're still coming out in October (barring delays), so why moan about it? As soon as they announce October's lineup, I guarantee you it won't take long for the same people to start moaning about what's coming in November. Rinse and repeat.

Didn't someone get an email reply from them to "keep an eye out for the 22nd" as far as the con goes? I could be mistaken, thought I read that on here earlier. Either way though, it was kind of a dud con for them. Makes me wonder why they went to begin with...

Kino, Criterion and Arrow have good sales. Does Shout ever have good sales? Usually other vendors don’t have Shout sales and when Shout has a sale, it seems like it isn’t much

Which really means nothing. Shout Factory was actually quite active for Comic Con, just nothing as far as Scream Factory physical releases. The email made no allusions whatsoever to titles getting announced.

I just got it for an OK price at eBay (the DVD that is). I really enjoyed, and would easily buy a blu-ray. Though I suspect it might not be a big seller. If Shout ever got a hold of it, I suspect it would be released a one of their limited site exclusives.

Check out Hamilton Book. They just did price cuts last night. I got a bunch in the $10-$15 range. Figuring they wouldn't go that low with Scream

Hamilton has always been the best price on Shout titles. They tried carrying new releases too but other retailers got pissed at their good pricing so they had to stop.

We have always associated SDCC as the splashy annual event where Shout Factory makes big announcements. They replied to someone from these boards who asked about their plans with "keep your eyes peeled" - obviously that was not in reference to Blu-ray announcements unless you count updated specs for Dog Soldiers - but I don't think anyone here is really interested in anything other than physical media - hence our disappointment. Nobody is freaking out. though.

BTW, I don't think September's slate is particularly impressive. Four reissues and an animated flick.

Yeah I picked it up on DVD 2 or so years ago as well. I went through a period of time where I made it a priority to hunt down older DVD era film sequels that I had concerns may not make it to Blu Ray and acquired it then. (I had quite the run at the time, buying stuff like The Unborn II, Sorority House Massacre II, Pumpkinhead 3 and 4, Ghoulies IV, Howling IV, Prom Night 3/4, and Feast II/III).

We really need Suburban Commando now. It seems perfect for Shout to release this on the select line. Really not sure why it hasn't happened. Fun film.

The complete list at the beginning of this thread is missing at least 1 title, Meatcleaver Massacre. Are there any others missing to anyone's knowledge?

Sorta, kinda... but no, not exactly.

They did technically make an announcement on social media that day... but it was extras for Dog Soldiers.

This is not meant as a knock on jcole8882, specifically, but "I asked so and so, and they told me such and such" posts are basically as credible as The DiscFather.
