Did you ever hear back from Scream about this?

Hopefully 4K UHD upgrades of Psycho II, Psycho III, Psycho IV, Poltergeist II, Poltergeist III, Invaders From Mars (1986), Trick 'r Treat, House on Haunted Hill (1999), House of Wax (2005), Thir13en Ghosts (2001), Ghost Ship, The Faculty and Universal will finally relent and let Scream license Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D and Jaws The Revenge. Still holding out hope for a complete Elm Street 4K UHD box set if Warner agrees to it.

Which Cronenberg film had some kind of PQ issue that necessitated a replacement program - was it SHIVERS or RABID? I never sent in for the replacement. Just curious.

How about we stop asking for endless reissues and double dips, there are still so many movies waiting for a good blu ray !!!

Some of us are only interested in 4K UHD. And if some drivel like “Trick or Treat” (the bad 80s movie, not the Dougherty flick) or “Peeping Tom” gets a UHD and not, say, Psycho II or A Nightmare on Elm Street, that just won’t do at all.

Personally I won’t even buy standard BD anymore. If a movie isn’t available on UHD I simply won’t own it.

Pretty much how I feel. I'm ok with 4K releases, as long as there is balance between new titles and upgrades. Thankfully their November slate included a decent amount of new to Blu-ray titles.

That attitude can hasten the death of physical media. Please create a 4konly.com site and post there.

One of the things that someone taught me early in life is to never apologize for your thoughts/opinions. Either own them and share them or withold them and don't.
Popular or not, they are yours to share if you wish. I hate seeing folks use the "I'm sorry but..." phrase as the person using it isn't sorry enough to withhold the opinion nor in most instances is the opinion even worthy of apologizing for.

I'm in 100% agreement with your sentiments here and find the idea of a 4k (or blu ray or dvd) purist absurd since so much content is still available across all formats (vhs/dvd/blu ray/4k and yes even digital hd).

So you won't even consider 99.5% of movies. LOL.

I’ve become this way but only with new release films. I picked up Nightmare Alley and WSS because they were on UHD but skipped Licorice Pizza and just rented it from the library. I expect it will get a UHD soon somewhere.

Yeah, the 4K stuff is cool & all, but it's kinda disheartening when the bulk of their releases are just 4K re-releases & I don't know, but how much better can The Fog actually look at this point?

I don't mind them doing it. But throw 2-3 new blu's in there too. I may get some hate for this, but I've upgrade from VHS to DVD to Blu-ray in my lifetime, as many here probably have too. I can't keep re-buying the same movies all over again.

I rented VHS but never purchased. My collecting began with laserdiscs which I ended up selling when DVD was becoming popular.
