It seems like Shout has finally figured out the proper way to conduct a sale. Unfortunately, I already bought all the titles I want. I need to quit pre-ordering and buying stuff right when it comes out....

Wasn't entirely certain I was going to order, until I saw Bluebeard and Blood of the Vampire for 14. Even though I'd get the UK version of Blood for a good price, can't pass up half price exclusives.

Interested in grabbing Halloween 4 and 5 just worried they won't arrive with the hard slipcases to match my Halloween 1-3. I see these popping up in stores with slipcovers.

Just a heads up, when i checked out it said the shirt won't be available until December 22nd. Not really a big deal on a free item.

Cool looking shirt but the pumpkins means the shirt can only be worn on or around Halloween. No way I'd wear that shirt in February or July

Sooo... interesting news potential here... Just did a google search for "shout factory shocktober sale 2022" and in the results/ad for the sale I saw the already mentioned Dawn of the Dead 4k info, but I also saw this...

Could we be looking at 4k releases of the most recent Halloween trilogy from Scream Factory already!?

EDIT: False Alarm... I missed that Scream Factory was releasing a Halloween Ends Vinyl and so I'm sure that's all this is referring to.

If so i still don't understand how all these studios couldn't come together for a second time and release a 4K box set.

Did some more digging and it looks like Scream Factory is offering a Halloween Ends vinyl soundtrack on January 20th. Not sure if that's all there is to the story of if the Blu Ray/4k is yet to be announced.

Scream Factory is/was selling the Halloween Ends soundtrack on vinyl, it may be for that.

Yeah I'm sure you're right. Thought I stumbled onto something but I had forgotten (or missed) the Vinyl Announcement and so I wasn't aware of that when I saw the ad. Ah Well. I'd delete the comment but it is what it is.

Does Shout ship sale items while the sale is ongoing or after it's over?

They usually start shipping immediately for items that are in stock. I would imagine larger orders may have quite the wait ahead of them however.

While I think it is possible that Shout could do their own versions of the Blumhouse movies I think we will have to wait a few years at least for that to happen. Universal is gonna want some more time to profit on these films for themselves, including putting out Ends themselves on 4k. Same with their 4k release of The Thing. Shout will need to wait it out for a while before Universal would budge on those.
