Anyone think SF will go back to announcing NEW titles next year? Don’t get me wrong, as a 4k collector I’m happy - but I also miss those new releases with the exclusive artwork. We’ve only seen a few of those all year

I hope so. Too many re-releases gets boring. Hoping for some fresh titles mixed in with the 4K upgrades.

Regarding 4K upgrades, Psycho II, Psycho III, Sleepaway Camp and The Burning would be top of my wishlist.

It also gets expensive when we're just upgrading titles we already own.

When they did the Live Q and A ... they answered my question... I asked if they'll be more new to bluray titles in 2023.... they said there will be plenty to look forward to... and that there's a few that most of us are really gonna be excited/surprised for

Me either, they made it seem that the elements were in rough shape when they put together their blu ray. It even has a disclaimer at the beginning about video quality

Any intel on Shout upgrading Hammer titles to UHD in the future? I'm hesitant to upgrade titles within the BD format if they will be re-released again.

They answered my question during the Q&A regarding more Hammer and they simply said no more were in the cards. They expressed a lot of interest in doing them (I believe Cliff specifically mentioned Frankenstein Must Be Destoyed as one he wanted) but WB doesn't want to license any at this time.

My Halloween 4K Collection showed up this Saturday, thanks to Best Buy. Luckily no damage to my set, I know some folks apparently had trouble with the flimsy slipbox thing getting creased up.

Yeah I saw the thread for the BC SteelBook and got excited until I realized it was just a double-dip for the old movie.

Huh, no Dawn of the Dead this month though.

They technically beat the leaks this month, but weirdly the only three titles I want are the ones that leaked/soft-announced awhile ago (WarGames, and the two Laika SBs).

Hopefully they don't judge future Hammer sales by that last batch they released. Many of those had been done to death already and Paranoiac was a complete wash. I can understand them taking a break though.

There are no WAC Hammer Films for SF to release. George F. wants to see WAC release the remaining four that they have.

There are several StudioCanal Hammers that they themselves haven't released on blu-ray in the UK. It's possible SF could make a deal with them if their previous one expired. But the last time around StudioCanal released a string of Hammer blu-rays between 2012 and 2019. After that, Scream Factory began releasing most of them US.

I would expect the same situation for the remaining StudioCanal films, but this time around, they don't seem to be in any hurry. And SF has already released all of the Hammer Universal titles.

So not sure what's left. A big speculation is what might be the first Hammer 4K UHD release and who's going to do it. All I know about that is The Revenge of Frankenstein is the only Hammer film to have a 4K scan. And Indicator in the UK has the only license to it.

So we shall see what happens.
