What do you know, mine arrived today and showed up at the local hub last night. I know some USPS locations are more notorious for not scanning, but I've never had a package jump from awaiting shipment to arriving at the local hub, even skipping the regional and local distribution centers. I have a feeling the USPS has been sitting on these until the right time for delivery.

A bit disappointed as the items arrived in a larger rectangular box that accomodates the posters, but the box set was left to slide around in the box without any additional padding. The outer box did sustain a slightlycrushed corner on the bottom side edge and the top side edge has two wear marks, likely from sliding around in the box.

I’m surprised nobody is having reservations about Black Christmas
And Carrie on 4k.

Black Christmas has looked like crap on every release for the past 20 years. Why does everyone assume a new 4k scan is gonna improve much??

As for Carrie, the often gauzy photography could
Also be a compression nightmare on a badly coded disc.

I’ll wait for reviews first on both of these.

Glad yours has turned up mate. Mine is still in no mans land and saying 'arriving late'. Hasn't updated and been stuck on that for days, so no idea where it is.

Not good about the minor damage. Scream cheapened out on the delivery side for these.

Of course I'll wait for reviews but the old BD was scanned from the negative so I expect around the same quality but in 4k

Only way I see it looking worse than the old disc is SF's garbage compression at times.

I think Im more excited to get a decent cover for WarGames than the 4k part. I've lost any excitement I once had for 4K upgrades.

For December, I'll go for WarGames and I will upgrade my DVD of Coraline to the Steelbook.

Which of Shout’s recent 4K releases have had poor compression?

That's what I want to know. 1 member said that his Candyman 4k disc, was so scratched up....that it looked like a brake rotor. Feel free to keep emailing Shout, until they help you.

I completely agree. But I am going to be hopeful regardless. With Scream Factory's track record, it's hard to tell.

All these new 4K announcements are making me very reluctant to pull the trigger on Blu-rays But I'm looking forward to picking up the 4Ks!

They seem to be fine, but the Halloween 6 Blu-rays might have some issues.

I only want Black Christmas, but I will 100% wait for reviews. Due to errors and scratched disc issues......I stopped pre-ordering Shout discs.
