Very true. I know Best Buy is very rough with their merchandise but it makes you wonder if they get all the rejects on purpose. My local had three Piranhas and they were all beat to hell. Though my copy from Shout didn’t look much better. So much for paying full price and ordering direct

Actually now that I think abt it I hope shout releases their OOP Ghoulies double feature on 4k since that options on the table now apparently, plus we never got the added gore for part 2 in the US

No, the 3 films in the latter set are also in the same chipboard cases as the first five were. I also have no problem with the 2 SPM films in a 2 movie set. Cheaper this way and frankly, I probably wouldn't buy the second on 4K if it didn't come with the set. Not at $25+ each these days. Ray, you're lucky you haven't opened your Bubba blu yet...easy pass on that 4K. Nice to see Mag 7 on 4K, will get that in a sale. DragonHeart has no sentimentality for me, so easy pass on that. Dragonslayer on the other hand....

Am I the only one who flips the discs to check for scratches? I can't be that unlucky right? Haha

I would seriously pay more if the end result was better QC

I know this is for scream factory releases but shout factory's release of iron monkey looks like its going to be the us cut and not the original hong kong version

I think the reason they did this is issues with III. Would make sense why the old BD double feature went OOP so fast and why II is being bundled with I. I have no idea though.

You'll get a standalone Slumber Party Massacre 4K within a year or so anyways... probably a steelbook.

I check for scratches. Always have. Way before Shout made scratched discs a way of life.

I'm with you. The only time I check a disc is if it freezes or skips (which is extremely rare). As long as it plays I don't care what it looks like.

I don't own the the second film so I'm all for the bonus features.

I am SO glad they’re releases Slumber Party Massacre I & II as a double feature. Shout has shied away from double features in recent years after doing them regularly for quite some time, so I’m quite happy about this release. I definitely would have preferred a double feature release for stuff like Urban Legend and its sequel, because paying ~$25 for one solid film and one not-so-great film that’s just entertaining enough to want to own but not quite good enough to spend another ~$25 and have it take up more shelf space is kinda lame.

I only check the playing side if I have a playback issue. If it plays, I really don't care what the disc looks like.

Thanks, that set wasn't released here in Canada so I forgot about it. I really should order it, though.
