Eventually they'll require proof when you didn't even receive the item. You'll have to take pictures of the empty space you were planning to put it.

The complete document is: V9917 D267 P1-2

List of titles:

002 Baby face Nelson.

003 Barbarian queen II.

004 Berlin conspiracy.

005 Bloodfist V: human target.

006 Body chemistry IV.

007 Body waves.

008 The coroner.

009 Deathstalker III.

010 Deathstalker IV.

011 800 Leagues down the amazon.

025 Ultra warrior : a.k.a. Welcome to oblivion.
So, Barbarian Queen II (1990) and Hard To Die (1990) are probably off the table ?

But Body Chemistry 3 (1994), Candy Stripe Nurses (1974), Firecracker (1981), and School Spirit (1985) are probably on the table ?

I don't see Angel Of Destruction (1994), Sorority House Massacre II (1990), and Stacey (1973). Does that mean anyone can release them? I heard Kino tried for Stacey, but there was a music issue.

There are a bunch of films that don't seem to be accounted for in any copyright filings, but I'd be surprised if The Pacific Trust's holdings are limited to less than 30 films.

I did find another copyright filing, involving 289 titles, but the complete list is not attached.

A little digging around suggests that Mesa Pictures is part of The Pacific Trust, and that there is a separate, and still ongoing, lawsuit involving this entity within the Corman family.

Pretty sure pausing it would show on the screen, wouldn't it? I've never paused a movie without seeing an indication that the button was pushed.

I've been revisiting the Airport films and thoroughly enjoying them. Ever since I got my OLED everything looks better, including these Blu-rays. I don't know if I need these on 4K though, unless the improvements are potentially substantial, which I doubt. Are these popular enough to merit 4K treatment?

If the AIRPORT films were released on 4K I'd pick them up for sure! They look surprisingly good on standard 1080p, except for Airport '79, which looks rough with noise, frozen grain and the print they used wasn't in the best of shape.

Going OLED was one of the best thing's I've done. I agree, nearly everything looks better. If anyone is on the fence, do it.

I think it mostly comes from too many people wanting to replace discs that would play fine if they actually watched them. I understand we're not paying for scratched discs, but when they're having to pay to replace the discs, I get wanting to limit it to discs with actual playback errors.

Asking the customer to record a video is still a pretty rude way of getting them to check though.
They should send a video of them giving the middle finger.

I actually feel slightly bad for Scream. It's not their fault these discs are getting scratched because it's going to cost them some money to replace all this stuff. I'm not quite sure if sending in a video of the film not working is the best way to do things, but it must be getting pretty bad if that's what they are resorting to.

Just what will it take? I'm sure SF/Criterion/others have asked the disc plant to be more careful with their product, but it's hard to threaten to pull out when there's no where else to go. I guess they could increase prices and experience more delays by switching to the plant in Germany.

I wonder what companies are using the German plant? I know Paramount does, but not sure who else.

If physical media is still selling, and there's obviously demand, you'd think they would open one here, even if it's a small one.

I guess business wasn't good enough. It wasn't that long ago that the last one closed down. Maybe two years ago? So it'd down to Mexico and Germany and that's it.

Paramount UHDs tend to skip fairly regularly even though they're pristine. I've had to replace the UHD disc with the Blu-ray to continue watching some films (The OG Pet Sematary was particularly bad). I think production quality in general has seriously precipitated in the last few years, and with there being just one plant in existence in this part of the world, they really have no incentive to improve. They're like "You don't like it? There's the door"

What plant are Kino Lorber and Vinegar Syndrome using? I assume also the Mexican one? If so, why is the frequency of scratches much higher on Shout Factory and Criterion releases than on theirs? Maybe that's just my personal experience and it's more or less the same.

Kino for sure uses the same Mexico plant, and many have reported scratched discs over the last year or two. The Kino Insider addressed this at one point last year.

But you're right, since the replicator decided to move majority of the projects to Mexico and we and others have experienced this sort of thing more often, then we used to.

Somewhere in one of the threads I read Paramount has their discs packaged in Germany. Does anybody have additional info about this? Maybe it can be passed on to Shout and Kino.

Are you sure it's not your player? I have yet to have a Paramount 4K disc with trouble - triple layer or no. Except the Bumblebee audio lag and that had a replacement program.
