This was my reaction after making my first Vinegar Syndrome t-shirt purchase. I was more than a bit disappointed by how thin and cheap feeling the shirt felt compared the the thicker, higher quality feeling t-shirts I had been wearing for years.

Since then I'm come to realize that a great many of these internet only t-shirt companies all use the same dirt cheap, thin t-shirts and just have come to expect it.

Bummer to read about the cheap quality t-shirts. These Companies should just use the Alstyle 1301 t-shirt, They can be purchased in bulk for cheap. Less than $3 per shirt.

I received the shirt as well. It’s very thin and cheap quality. It probably won’t stand up to many washings. Oh well, it was free, so whatever.

I haven't received my Scream shirt yet, but I do disagree about the quality of the Vinegar shirts. They use a thinner weave of cotton, yes, but it's not cheap. I wear them more than any other of my shirts, and the durability is proven. In summer I also prefer the light weight. I have seen on Amazon where this lighter cotton is actually a higher priced option; I forget what it's called. Not trying to change your mind, and I can see why you prefer the beefy style cotton. (Of course the Scream shirt may very well be cheap thin fabric.)

I don't have the Scream shirt myself but I've been buying from Gutter Garbs for years and while they may have gone the cheap route with this one all the shirts I've gotten from them have been pretty high quality. I don't know if it's the same brand but it seems like the same kind of shirt companies like Fright Rags and Cavity Colors use. They are thin but it's ring spun cotton so they're pretty durable. I still wear the first shirt I bought from them four or five years ago. But I kinda prefer thinner more form fitting shirts compared to the thick, rough kind like say Rotten Cotton used 15-20 years ago so your preference may differ from mine.

I could swear during the sale they were selling the shirts individually for $30. I'm happy with it as a free shirt, but I can't imagine paying $30 for it!

Is there a reason why Robocop is sitting on a unicorn in your avatar? Never seen that before.

I was kind of expecting this and was already planning on using it as a workout/scrap shirt.

I feel your pain on the whole thin shirts offered exclusively from t-shirt sites. Teefury is one of the few that gives you the option to choose the classic, thicker quality.

Thanks for letting me know. I was always interested in buying one of their shirts, but if its a cheap quality like this Scream shirt is, I will pass. The Scream one if Free, so it gets a pass, but the VS ones are $20+, so not worth the chance.

I haven't gotten my Scream factory shirt yet and so I can't say that they are one in the same, but the VS shirts, while soft, feel very thin to me and smaller in size than I anticipated. I ordered an extra large 2 years ago of the classic logo and still wear it from time to time, but I always have to layer it on top of another shirt as it just feels small and thin. Some folks may prefer this cut/style but for many many years I wore the thicker more durable (though not nearly as soft) type and have just grown to expect that when paying more than $20 for a t-shirt. The VS shirts in many ways remind me of the cheaper horror shirts that have popped up at wal-mart over the years, though slightly softer/better than that as well.

Edit to add that I'm 6'1" and on average about 190lbs usually so my complaints regarding the shirts should be considered with that info in mind.

Somewhere out there on Facebook: "They sent me a Small shirt instead of a Large one. When I reached out to them, they asked me to post a video of myself wearing the shirt to prove that it doesn't fit."

Sounds fair. Let me know when you get your shirt and if it is similar to the VS one. I have the thin ones too. Raro sent me one for Free, it sucked too. They seem to shrink way too easily. Collar isn't stable also.

As luck would have it I received my Gutter Garb shirt today. It feels very, very similar to the VS shirt I purchased 2 years ago or so, but I think might be slightly thinner than that one was as well. The GG shirt looks and feels nice for sure as it uses a softer blend of fabric than the thicker older shirts I wear, but I have my doubts regarding how well it will hold up over multiple washings and for me it's all about the longevity. I'd rather a shirt last but feel less soft, as opposed to feeling softer but wearing out much quicker.

My Vinegar Syndrome shirt felt like it shrunk after it's initial wash but I was so unprepared for that inevitability when I first bought it that I cannot say for sure if that happend. The VS shirt (and likely this GG shirt) also seem far more prone to wrinkling and not wanting to hang correctly on my body or on a hanger when compared to my other older thicker t-shirts. I'm not opposed to ironing a t-shirt as I've done it plenty of times over the years, but I don't like feeling like I am expected to or that I have to after washing/drying it.

I'm expecting this Scream Factory GG shirt to be much like the VS one. The print is excellent but the durability and the thickness of the material leaves much to be desired. It was a freebie and so I'm happy overall as obviously Scream Factory could have offered nothing and by comparison, this is at least as cool as the magnets and coasters they offered in the past, but the quality of the shirt hasn't done anything to encourage me to purchase more GG shirts in the future. If I paid $30 shipped for this t-shirt I'd be mightily pissed. For me, it's a $10-$16 shipped shirt even if the design is cool.

That all said, please keep offering these kinds of freebie giveaway's Scream Factory. I loved the magnets, coasters and t-shirt offers and they absolutely encouraged me to spend more during each past sale.

Best way to order Shout Website only releases if overseas? Ebay? Or is there another option?
