That would be great, because I really enjoyed the Halloween one and still have a few titles I want to check off my list.

Lol. I remember back in the day I ripped onto tape her schoolteacher strip sequence from Dance of the Famned. Good times.

Not really interested in Dance of Death, but I am interested in March or Die! When is that supposed to come out?

Hopefully March or Die includes the longer TV cut, even if it is only in SD. But given it's part of a double feature, I can't see it.

Yeah, looks like it unfortunately.

I wasn't even thinking of getting a 77 personally, but the price was too good, and the TV is fantastic (not of the two compared)

If the "Complete Series" DVD set is in this possible, upcoming sale directly from Shout, I may bite this time. As far as the films Shout have released, on my list are mainly Scream Factory titles. There are some titles you remember having slipcovers, but some may never have had any to begin with.

Might be interested in getting the Blu-ray double feature including Dance with Death. Have checked it out on the IMDb (it's a remake of Stripped to Kill?).

I saw “The Howling” 4k at my local Best Buy. I snagged it. Unfortunately both the blu ray disc and 4k have these odd circular scratches on it. Skipped through the film and it starts freezing/skipping around 80minutes into it. It resumes but then the audio is missing for the remaining few minutes. So annoying. I shot an email to SF’s customer service email… hopefully I have some luck.

Take that sucker up to customer service next time and have them open it. That's the nice thing about Best Buy and Barnes & Noble carrying these titles. That way you don't have to record a video of you recording a video of the glitch.

My understanding is that no one knows. It is one of several movies that the rights became extremely muddled due to the Menendes murders.

Right, that's kind of what I figured. I was sifting through Bullmoose's images, and came across a placeholder image of sorts for some kind of Fright Night 2 release. It very likely means nothing though, and it's not similar to the way I've found other stuff on their site before, so I don't want anyone getting their hopes up here.

SF’s Customer Service responded this morning and they’re getting replacement discs in the mail. *fingers crossed*

Cool! Be sure to check the replacement discs...when they arrive. There have been some cases, of when the replacement discs are also scratched. I shit you not!

Interesting, because Sean Clark was recently on Dead Pit's youtube channel and made a very casual passing comment where he said (in past tense) something along the lines of "It's probably an issue like Fright Night II or Trick or Treat... where we didn't know who owned them for a long time."

This was maybe a week ago. Didn't think it was worthy of posting to the forum, but it definitely stood out to me at the time. Sounded like he was implying we DO currently know. And how would he know that? Maybe Shout Factory got the rights and needed him to wrangle talent for extras or shoot a Horrors Hallowed Ground segment? Just some food for thought.

Thankfully the Germans provided decent Blu-ray releases of FNII and TOT. I would buy UHDs in a heartbeat.

Not quite accurate, Menendez was just the executive at the time of his murder that would of greenlit a Fright Night Part 3 to be made. It has nothing to do with the home video rights of Fright Night Part II. If it would been the case it would of affected the 2003 release of the DVD. The murders happened in 1989.

If anyone can untangle the rights to Fright Night 2, I'd imagine Shout would be able to do. They got Alligator after years of everyone not knowing what was going on there.

Thing is that dvd went oops really fast and hasn't been reissued suggesting a rights issue. There clearly some problems with getting that one out on home video.

Yeah Shout seems like they would be ones to undo this Gordian knot. It would be super cool if Fright Night 2 could be like Alligator and Sword and the Sorcerer and go straight from dvd to 4k, skipping regular blu-ray.
