What about Joe Pilato? He doesn't mind talking about. I hear he's really nice too.

The extras on the Arrow set with him seemed like he was really desperate for money. It just looked like he wasn't doing too well. I'm all for some insight from him, but I'd much rather hear from others before hearing too much from him again.

Greg Nicotero would have tons of stories. The commentary with him and his boys on that same Arrow set is a BLAST.

I've never seen a Romero Dead film, as of yet, (Although, I own Night in a 50 film pack...) so I gotta ask... what's the deal with the gator? It's a nice touch but I just don't get why its there?

In an opening scene in a deserted coastal town, an alligator walks out of a abandoned town hall.

I think its a nice touch to the cover, helping give a feel of setting

Yes I want the extras and the commentaries and interviews and what have you but I am looking most forward to the new HD transfer of the film. To me, that would be the main thing ultimately everybody would want. I have owned Day of the Dead on every format. From VHS to laserdisc to DVD to the Anchor Bay blu but we all want the definitive version. I am so excited for this release. Cliff, is there any of the previous special features being ported over? Thanks.

Hi Cliff, I know it isn't horror so probably wouldn't be Scream..but since you now have Alien from LA out via MST3K, any chance for a dvd or blu release via Shout of the original movie?
Also any chance for Rockula? Seems like it would be a good fit for either Scream or Shout...as would Vicious Lips

Wow, really? You're in for a treat when you check them out. Dawn and Day are pretty much the greatest zombie movies ever made. Night is alright, but I feel abit meh towards it. I also like Land alot too. Diary is medoicre and Survival is terrible.

I really hope that Anchor Bay doesn't hold their bonus features for ransom.
I didn't pick up any of the 'Dead'' BDs, so this is mine regardless, but it would be nice to have a definitive edition.

To enjoy the 'Dead' films, you must keep an open mind and never watch them back to back. They do not mesh well together, but if you can actually separate them from each other, it is an amazing experience. 'The Crazies' is a fun and interesting film to throw in the mix as well.

'NIGHT' will not be on blu-ray through any big company, because then there would be a million little competing BDs. Because it is Public Domain, I feel like this point has been made multiple times.

And AMAZING ART btw!

How do you mean, you need to keep an open mind? I don't get that. They are classic's.

The Crazies is great.

I never said they weren't classics, just that YOU CAN NOT COMPARE THEM TO EACH OTHER. Day of the Dead is not as hot compared to Dawn of the Dead, a few in this forum have said that in the past few months since the announcement.
No one said the film sucks, because it is very good. It just cant stand up against Dawn. If you do not compare them to each other, then they are all very well on their own.

They just are not films you can watch together in one sitting, is all. They are fantastic though, but that it just my opinion. They do not go as smoothly together as like a late night movie marathon.

Either way you look at it, Day of the Dead is a total classic, and I can't wait for the Scream Factory Blu!

As has been covered elsewhere, the Japanese Happinet release of Night of the Living Dead is the way to go. Cheap too.

And because of the headaches involved with the film's public domain status, a quality US release is unlikely.

I wouldnt call Day a total classic. They are sequels to each other and I agree with every movie guide book I read about them saying Day was the least in the trilogy. Some people prefer Day, some dont ...I didnt but I am going to revisit the film because I do like Zombies and maybe my feelings have changed.
