Anyone should feel free to join in. Gacivory didn't really care that I asked the question, so thank you for being polite. Mine is Flash of the Blade, probably because I fell in love with it watching Phenomena over 20 years ago. I don't think Argento should have used metal music in those scenes, though. I think he should have went a suspenseful route, but he never does. But then why do I think Phenomena is a masterpiece, and his best work? I don't know. I'm a tard, I guess.

At least they have special features and the Death set has 4K/2K transfers.

Damn it! Yet another month goes by where none of Scream Factory's Website Exclusive Blu-rays are 1950's Horror/Sci-Fi films.
C'mon you guys, at least give me just one release so I can quit complaining all of the time!
Maybe something like The Crawling Eye “a.k.a. the trollenberg terror” (1958) or perhaps Not Of This Earth (1957)?

Choosing my favorite Iron Maiden song (or album, for that matter) is like trying to choose a single favorite tooth to keep in my mouth... (the more intensely I think about it, the more I realize that I'd prefer to keep a full set! )

However, I have been in a more Paul Di'Anno kind of mood lately so any of their speedier adrenaline fueled numbers would work just fine for me: Prowler, Phantom Of The Opera, Iron Maiden, Wrathchild, Another Life, Purgatory...

I had a few days when I looped the first two albums. I listened to the first, then the 2nd. Then the first. Then second. I still do that stuff, but mostly with The Warning now.

x2... I'd be all in for anything 50's - 70's Horror/Sci-Fi for $30, especially if they included a poster. Much like She-Creature and Day The World Ended. Those were sweet deals at $26.98.

As it stands, I stopped buying the Site Exclusives when they hit $30. Granted it's only a $3 increase over the previous price, which was already too much IMO. No way was I going to pay $30 for Blackbelt, Bloodfist (should have been a DF disc) or RXmas. Even Bronson (Evil That Men Do) couldn't entice me.

I like the two new DF Exclusives, but I'm going to still hold off. Perhaps bundle them into a 'Love Is In The Scare' sale order next month. Hopefully that Bronson exclusive if it's still available also.

Man, I'd pay 50$ Canadian in a heartbeat if Scream released The crawling eye. It's my number one title on my wish list. But I stopped believing it will ever happen a long time ago haha.

Of all the 50's alien monster movies, this is my favorite one. I love that Stephen King put it in IT. The design of the monsters is such a striking image.

Maybe I'm misremembering but didn't SF go through a period where they were releasing a lot of 40's and 50's sci-fi/horror movies? I also seem to recall them claiming that some of those weren't selling well. They even cancelled a planned Val Lewton film or two, did they not? If these didn't do well or not well enough I can't imagine them going back to that well.

I was under this impression, too, until Shout announced that they're releasing Sorry, Wrong Number. So I guess they haven't fully given up on older content.

Either way it seems that Scream and Arrow's demographic tend to prefer 70s/80s/90s films, which would explain why older movies don't sell as well for them. If either label is choosing to not release any older movies they licensed, then I'm hoping that either Kino or Criterion picked them up.

On an unrelated topic, who owns the rights to 1408? This seems like it would be a decent movie for Scream to release an upgrade on. I've sat on purchasing this movie for so long that now I'm afraid that if I finally buy it, a 4K will be announced.

Sure they could have, but they figured enough people would pay double for those anyway. Their reasoning for doing some of these "exclusive" releases as singles and others as doubles is purely monetary... but they'll sure still price them all the same even if they are just BD-25's. You can be they'll keep on doing it in the future with these exclusives.

I Was hoping there would be a reconstruction of March or Die. Don’t like double features and under aspect ratio it says various. Idk. On the fence.

The Crawling Eye is presumably part of the Wade Williams collection, and he has for years had a reputation of being hard to strike a deal with (several labels have tried). Furthermore, Wade Williams just died a week ago, which may complicate things for now.

Ordered the Escape To Athena / March Or Die combo pack. March or Die is a pretty good film.

I did the same earlier, as well as the Corman double feature. All four look like fun.

Really happy Slumber Party Massacre's 4k release is just around the corner.

Curious if SF will ever do a new scan of SPM3. I own the double feature but I think SPM3 desperately needs an upgrade as well at some point.
