It had a Sony/Columbia logo added to it when it used to play on Movies! channel. Not sure if they still have US rights or not. But regardless, this is a potential release of the year for me. I absolutely love THE HAUNTING OF JULIA!

Damn, I jumped the gun last night and ordered the limited edition Imprint Blu-ray of Haunting of Julia from Via Vision—I wasn't expecting a 4K, from Scream Factory no less. Oh well—this is a title I'm glad to have multiple editions of, especially because it's been unavailable for decades. This is one of my favorite horror movies.

It is utterly fantastic.

It is creepy, disturbing, and, well....haunting....

I first saw it in a theater, circa 1981 or so, and it was strong stuff. I saw it a couple of times on HBO in 1982. Then, I didn't see it again for many years (decades). Finally, I saw it again on an old, overly dark, murky, blurry, muffled VHS copy just a couple of years ago, and it has held up amazingly well. I still found it very creepy and atmospheric and disturbing.

The score, by Colin Towns, is also to die for. And Mia Farrow has never been better.

Considering that Shout got a deal with Paramount, wonder if we'll get the Miramax cuts included in this set now?

Interested in Haunting of Julia, but not at a Scream Factory 4k Price point. Will either need to see a ton of praise here, a great day one sale price, or I will be waiting for a sale in the future on this one. This falls just far enough outside my comfort zone to make a blind buy on.

Totally understandable on waiting on the price to go down.
But as a blind buy I would highly recommend this film!!!

I've never seen the film but now I'm very hyped to check it out. These are the kinds of announcements I love. That excitement is soooo rare these days for me.

Towns' score is sublime - a haunting blend of acoustic and electronic music. The movie is a great one for many reasons, but the music is the frosting on the cake.

Right on. Flashback finally. A restored Midnight Run is gonna be nice to see as well. I don't know the Haunting of Julia, but I'm intrigued for sure.

I'll be very excited a few months from now to hear a lot of people's reactions to "The Haunting of Julia".

So many people here haven't seen it, which is a testament to just how rare it's been for so long, so I can't say anything too in depth about it.

This is one you should go into as blind as possible.

I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about it.

If you like those chilly cold, grim, somber 70s horror films that really stay with you, you'll love this. I remember my late mother, many years ago, watched this on HBO with me one evening, and then went home and later told me she couldn't sleep from it that night.

The release of The Haunting of Julia is the result of one fan's efforts for more than 6 years to get the rights cleared:

After the lengthy intro, the score starts to drop at around 1:20, and then again at around 2:07, and it is truly a thing of beauty....

I guess Haunting of Julia, Midnight Run and the others will be officially announced in the next few days? Seems like the last batch was just barely announced. I can't preorder 'Julia' fast enough.

I was wondering about Haunting of Julia. It shows up on the Imprint, Australia, page but not in the states. I guess it is pretty rare; not even a thread dedicated to it.

I have seen it. A couple years ago visitedbyvoices1 mentioned it on one of their videos, or in the forum. Somewhere on that YouTube channel, and I watched it on YouTube. Not the best quality. So, I'm willing to bet visitedbyvoices1 is elated. They weren't with Halloween Ends when I left them an essay regarding that on their video of Ends, which was a joke video. Yes, that ticked me off. I hadn't commented on their channel for a long time due to some drama in their community, but decided to leave a post regarding my love for Ends...

Well, I am not going to go any further with that line of thought, derailing the thread is not my intent.
