If slipcovers didn't generate income, explain Vinegar Syndrome getting 8+ bucks a pop for a slipcover and selling through them in the thousands for every single title? Every boutique knows slipcovers make them money. YOU and others may not value them, and that's fine, but the fact is, they generate revenue, it's fact.

As I said, I don't care that it doesn't come with one, but it does influence the price in which I (and many others on this forum) will pay for that item. I'm fine with it not coming with one.
I'm not saying slipcovers don't generate income and don't help with preorders. I'm saying there are people out there who will buy these films without a slipcover because they care more about owning the film in 4K than they do about the slipcover. And that there are enough of those people out there that any money loss from others won't destroy their bottom line.

Oh I get you, I would never NOT buy a title because of a slip/no slip, that I agree is silly as hell. I mainly just wanted people to be aware it didn't have one is all. I'm still buying it, but just not at 30ish bucks, as it's a blind buy.

If it doesn't have a slipcover it's a scam.

I actually keep my releases in the shipping box and put the box on the shelf too. No shipping box, no sale.

I must say, I'm really glad to see that The Haunting of Julia is a US/Canadian title on SF's website, unlike their UHDs of Black Christmas, The Company of Wolves and the Halloween 4K Collection. Given that Haunting of Julia was a Canadian tax shelter production (and UK co-production), the rights to those films are a little iffy here when picked up by US distributors and they sometimes can't acquire the license to release said films in both the US and Canada so we end up paying a pretty penny as they're technically imports. Black Christmas cost me quite a bit. Worth it as the restored A/V on that disc is astounding, but good to know that Haunting of Julia won't cost us Canucks a small fortune.

Yes, I really want to get the Halloween 4K collection, but I'm not paying close to $200 for it. My Halloween 4K collection will have to jump from the Scream Factory 1-5 to the Universal editions of the new films.

Got some 88 Jackie films with the slip I missed out on for good prices. Thank you Shout. Fearless Hyena will still demand some dosh though.

Are the home video rights with Paramount now? I know HBO released it on DVD.

Wow! The Haunting of Julia 4K and The People Under the Stairs 4K added to the previously announced Exorcist III 4K. So far, a killer year for Scream Factory, and it's only January!

Yeah I don't blame you. I only ended up grabbing it because I was able to get a good Boxing Day deal on it at my local shop. I could not justify paying the nearly $200 CAD to get it.

In for Endangered Species...and that's it. A nice surprise anyway. Only 4k upgrade I really want from them is Night of the Comet at this point.

My copy of The Curse of the Cat People came and since there isn't any packaging images, I decided to take photos and upload them on the page to do so. It doesn't say that the contribution is pending and the photos aren't up on the packaging tab. Does anyone have any experience or tips on uploading the packaging images?

The inner art is perfect, but I am a bit confused as to why the Simone Simon visual essay isn't listed on the back with the special features (but then again, not all of them are listed.) It just clicked with me that the cover art makes the film appear to be a horror, but when you open it, its really a fairytale. Its too bad Shout! doesn't do booklets/essays with their releases because this film is one of them asking for one with how rich it is.

Edit:
Nevermind, I checked and the photos are pending. I've never done this before, so please excuse my question about it

There's a recent eBay listing right now showing the Halloween 4 4K in a slipcover rather than a slipbox.

Well, I just couldn't help myself, LOL.

It's the collector in me, I guess.

I've pre-ordered BOTH, the Imprint and the Scream Factory editions of "The Haunting of Julia". I want that CD soundtrack, too (it comes with the Imprint; yes, I still use CDs).

I also pre-ordered "Flashback" and "Endangered Species", too.

They starting shipping that way last year. 2-5 have the slipcovers now too. Seems part one with the slipbox is increasing in price too.
