That's right. I haven't seen it in so long and when I did it was in the 80's. I should have remembered that though, since it had the guy from the Land of the Lost TV show in it.

These four movies are an awesome deal for 10 bucks. I think the only one I haven't seen before is The Godsend. I remember watching the other 3 before but it's been a long, long time.
I'm psyched about The Outing and The Vagrant as I seem to remember those being pretty fun. I'm fine with it just being DVD too. These are the types of movies where it warrants a budget release and no blu-ray, because I have no problem dropping 10 bucks down for this. At such a low price, there's probably many others that would pay that amount as well just for the curiousity of watching a few unknown films. On the flip side though - outside of a small group of hardcore horror fans, there's probably not tons of people willing to pay 20 bucks for a blu-ray of one of these flicks and I don't want Scream Factory going out of business because they attempted to do a high def transfer for every minor film they have access to. ![]() |

Its all good mate, I don't always remember when movies where released. Yeah, Pieces might be as common as Myers, Jason etc, but amongst Slasher fans, its pretty well known. It also has alot of big releases, eg Arrow Video and Grindhouse releasing. The Arrow DVD is fully uncut. |

Yeah, there's always a few you don't know about. I'm a massive 80's slasher fan. I have 92 of them (plus all the major franchise ones).

Deathdream (aka Dead of Night) has nothing to do with Elm Street and was released 12 years before the latter film. It is in fact a Vietnam-era update on the short story 'The Monkey's Paw'. A superbly moody and atmospheric film, the first American fictional film other than The Green Berets that directly addressed the war in Vietnam (though only as a brief setting, not as a soapbox), and co-starring the wonderful Lynn Carlin and John Marley (who had earlier played a similarly strained married couple in Cassavetes' Faces), Deathdream is a true gem and one of the finest horror films of its era. BU released an excellent SE DVD, but, as with the rest of their catalog apparently, no plans for a BD. Anyone who hasn't seen it should seriously snag a copy from Netflix immediately, and watch it late and night and in the dark....

I hope there are some fun slashers like X-Ray and Schizoid ahead, because I am getting tired of toting around my Vhs tapes! |

Damn, that's a lot of slashers! LOL, I just looked at your collection and I like how you have it broken into essentially three different groups: Mostly slashers, but then you have the family favorites from the 80's, like Back to the Future, A Christmas Story, Breakfast Club, and then later the Marvel superhero movies. I dig it! At least no can say you don't have any contrast in your collection against those slashers.

I used to have a ton of movies on VHS, mostly horror and science fiction, but I got rid of them and now I only have a select few on DVD. I'm really only getting started with blu-ray, which is why I don't have much in my collection. Everytime the format changes, I'm resistent to rebuild my collection, but I still love movies of all kinds. BTW, one of my favorite's was Romero's Martin -- I'm sure you guys have seen it, but I'd call that a slasher more than a vampire flick. Probably not obscure enough though.
