They did, but there were a couple of important differences there:

1) You mentioned a potential box set having additional features/extras - pretty sure whatever Universal (and MGM) put together was just the same as whatever had already been released.

2) For a boutique label to offer a more comprehensive franchise-spanning box set say a year or two after putting out individual releases would definitely annoy people, especially given the prices SF charge for their discs.

Now if Arrow do one for the UK, that's of course a different matter (though I have concerns about the cost of such an enterprise, given how much the Bruce Lee set is priced at). But I can't see Scream Factory doing one now, at least not for a long time.

Yeah this does kind of prove Shout’s reasoning for the Halloween 4k Box Set they did. They knew Resurrection would do bad by itself

It would have been cool if SF used the thicker Halloween style slipcases for the Chucky franchise, but the best we'll get are slipcovers since that's what the first three received.

Don't really need to rebuy Curse and Cult, but it's hard to not go ahead and complete the format set. At least they all appear to be CE's.
Wouldn't be surprised if they released the 2019 film later this year.

So, for July it looks like we're getting:

World War Z 4K UHD
The Burning (1981) 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)
Upgrade (2018) 4k UHD (Collector's Edition)
Bride of Chucky 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)
Seed of Chucky 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)
Curse of Chucky 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)
Cult of Chucky 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)

Of those, only World War Z doesn't have a July date listed yet (just the 1/1/2025 placeholder date), so there's a possibility we might not see that one announced. I'm sure there's probably some other Blu-ray titles somewhere on Bullmoose too as I can't imagine it's just 4K titles
I'll pick up all of those, even though Seed and Cult are pretty bad imo. Great lineup

Whelp, here's hoping Child's Play 2019 can get a 4K release as well.

Never heard of it before. However, you got my curiosity up and after reading some reviews, I'm excited to get it. Thanks!

All fair points. I can be patient and wait for a box set next year. Have these already on BD and would want to read multiple reviews of all 7 films on 4k that these are significant upgrades from the BDs. So far I have been disappointed with "upgrading" my BDs to 4K. Marginal improvement, imho, in 99% cases. I have stopped buying 4ks unless I don't already have the movie. So will definitely wait to see if it is worth it for me.

Welp. I know what I'm getting from Shout! tomorrow.

That would ideal for next year; the remake AND (if season 3 is set to be the final season), a 4K/Blu-ray combo of the TV series.

i know this is for scream factory but as anyone got the shout factory's tiger cage films yet because the first tiger cage film as mentioned by 88 films is missing some dialogue that's inherent in the english dub but what they don't mention is that the same dialogue is missing in the Cantonese as well but it's not missing in mandarin and since shout use the same 2k restorations as 88 films and since 88s release is in mandarin as well and shouts release does not have it

Day 1 for The Burning 4K and Bride of Chucky 4K.

I wonder if they plan to do a bundle of the Chucky 4k's similar to how they did with the first 3, with alternate slips and posters? Might have to grab that if that's the case, even though I don't care much for the rest after Bride.

Cult was ****ing awful. Shout has gone from scraping the bottom of their discs to scraping the bottom of the 4K barrel with that one.

Here’s an odd question. Has anyone watched the blu ray discs for the first three Child’s Play 4Ks? I’m not 4K compatible but if the blu ray discs are better than the ones in the Universal Chucky 6 movie collection I’d consider buying them and the new ones for an upgrade.

I expected Bride and Seed, but somewhat surprised about Curse and Cult. Mainly because I always thought they were finished in 2k, so if that is true they will just be upscales.

I wonder if Seed of Chucky will be Theatrical cut on 4K and Unrated cut on Blu-ray, of if they will bother including both cuts on both formats.

The only differences in the Unrated is a single scene at the end and a quick insert shot. Seamless branching would be very easy for this one.
