Pretty awesome stuff! I'm looking forward to buying 100% of the releases that Scream Factory puts out, just like I do with the Blue Underground releases.

I especially can't wait to get The Funhouse on Blu, since I missed out on the region free UK version.

Supposedly, MGM now holds the rights to Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers (1988) and Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland (1988). If Shout! has a deal with MGM, I'd love Blu-ray releases of SC 2 and 3. Also, it would be wonderful if Pam Springsteen would provide commentaries and interviews since she was noticeably absent from the extras on the 2002 Anchor Bay DVDs.

Well, In that case....

Obviously, we all want this one.
And with the DVD apparently having just gone out of print...?
I couldn't think of a more perfect opportunity to release this classic on blu-ray.

--------------
Considering the 1st one is finally making its debut on blu, why not part 2?

--------------
Katie Holmes, before she got Cruised.

--------------
Nic Cage does something to a cockroach.

--------------
Howie Mandel's finest performance.
Although, Frank Whaley's brief performance as "Boy" truly was creepy.
And there's a Rick Ducommun sighting.

--------------
Jim Carrey. As in a vampire. In Highschool. In the 80's. Get this blu-ray made.

--------------
Clue finally made it to blu-ray.
So....why hasn't this? This was just as good, if not better.

--------------
Let's get Weird

-------------
Some other MGM gems.
Maybe not Scream/Shout Factory material...
But still overdue for blu.

--------------
My wishlist aside, these MGM titles would probably be among the front-runners to be first considered for a Shout/Scream Factory release.

--------------
May as well show some love for Scott Baio and Willie Aames

Definitely want Jeepers Creepers 2 on the same level as the first in my opinion. Vampires Kiss is an 80s comedy classic!

I may be all by myself in this but even if the audio for those scenes is muted and subtitles are used to avoid the rights issue I'd be content. I know, sounds crazy.
We thought about doing that for a second, but we knew there would be too many complaints.
The show is back with Sony.

I know its not 80s, but who owns the rights to Session 9. That was a pretty creepy horror flick that deserves a blu ray release like yesterday.

I've noticed a lot of MGM dvds have gone OOP, some quite recently:

The Brood
The Burning
Burnt Offerings
Dolls
From Beyond
Leviathan
Lifeforce
Monkey Shines
Night of the Comet
Prom Night II
Scanners
Swamp Thing

There's a few others that seem like they're on the verge of going OOP. I don't know if this means anything or not, but I figured I'd point it out.

I'm pretty sure I'd shit myself if Shout released a special edition Blu-ray of "Little Monsters". I grew up loving that movie and still do today. A cast commentary and interviews would be amazing. Doubt it would end up as part of the Scream Factory line but if Shout was behind it in anyway, it's in good hands then.

Since the licensing would require them to stop manufacturing the DVD's under their name, that would be an obvious reason for why they all suddenly when OOP. But who licenses THAT MANY titles at once? If it's determined they didn't license these out, then maybe MGM is preparing to release them on blu-ray themselves and they've ceased current DVD production to update them and re-release the new DVD's with the fresh transfers? It's just weird these are all OOP at the same time. These things are usually phased out slowly, it's one here, a few there, then another one a year later, it's spread out over time.

I'm not sure if it's OOP yet, but The Howling would be a great MGM title for Scream Factory to get.
