4k or not, don't agree with anyone watching Lifeforce for the first time in the theatrical cut. 15 less minutes is too great a cut. A 4k I will never bother with, just like Army Of Darkness. And probably Nightbreed. Will never go back to theatrical of Dawn of the Dead or T2 either.

I hadn't ordered directly from SF since January 30th of 2022, so perhaps I am simply unaware of how they do things, but my experience with this recent sale is kinda sorta getting worse and SF's CS is being rather weird about it.

• May 15th, 1PM EST - Order #1 (War Games, Rollerball, A Company of Wolves + posters for all 3)
• May 15th, 2PM EST - Order #2 (Child's Play 1-3 + NECA + 5 Posters + 2 Slipcovers)
• May 16th, 8AM EST - Shipping notification for order #2.
• May 19th, 12PM EST - Order #3 (Carrie [Limited Edition Steelbook] + Poster + Pin Set)
• May 20th, 9AM EST - Shipping notification for order #3.

I emailed them on May 20th to ask about the posters in order #1 and received a generic, brainless reply from someone who clearly didn't read my actual question, on May 24th. After a bit of back and forth I was finally told that they oversold poster stock and were figuring out how to go forward. Ultimately I was told that they always send out orders in first-come-first-serve order, and that they'd "advise" on the status of the posters. It's now June 2nd and order #1 hasn't shipped, nor has there been any more correspondence in regards to the posters.

Now, I generally don't care how long it takes any given label to send out my stuff. These people are busy, and it'll show up when it shows up. However, when I am specifically told they are going in first-come-first-serve order and I am seeing friends receiving stuff they ordered on the very last day of the sale, I'll admit I get a little annoyed. Especially so considering I placed my original order early, and did so because I wanted those posters. (INB4 shit-talk about these posters - I know they aren't anything special, but I like the artwork and they're the perfect size for what I'd like to use them for.)

Anyway, as I said I rarely order from SF so perhaps this is their usual way of doing things and I am unaware of it / not used to things being done this way. If this isn't the norm, I feel that it certainly could have been handled better.

Expect Scratch Factory to request a picture of your order not arriving. I usually just send a picture of my empty mailbox. Sometimes they request a photo of my Blu-ray player tray with no disc in it. It'll take some back and forth but after a couple months they always come through.

I was waiting on WarGames with poster, and they just emailed me to say they ran out of the poster. They wanted to know if I want it canceled or just the 4K.

Ask them for photo proof that they are sold out of the poster. See how they like it.

Same. No posters for War Games and A Company of Wolves. I should be getting the one for Rollerball, but I am not counting on it.

Shout Factory got back to me, and acknowledged that The People Under the Stairs and Brotherhood of the Wolf 4K are indeed locked. They stated they don't anticipate it happening again. No mention of a replacement disc.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing with our UHD releases.

Our goal is to always make our product as accessible as possible to all fans. However, at this time, The People Under the Stairs UHD and our Brotherhood of the Wolf UHD will only be compatible with playback devices in North America and region free devices.

We don’t anticipate this issue repeating itself for any upcoming 4K releases.

Yes, it was undoubtedly an accident. No reason for them to intentionally lock the titles.

I wouldn't say "significantly", but it's definitely a better movie. I still wouldn't call it "great", though. But it's solid.

My biggest issue with the movie is Steve Railsback. His acting is not good, and he isn't appealing in any way. He looks like he needs a shower.

Classic Railsback. He replicated that zaniness in the X-Files episode "Duane Barry" lol.

Both excited and nervous to open my Shaw Brothers Classics Vol 1 set from Scratch Factory.

Edit: Two discs have considerable scratches and a few have light scratches. I think Im officially done with Scratch Factory.

I'm currently in a back-and-forth with support over 7 discs from the 4K sale being scratched. They won't just accept photos of the discs being scratched to shit, they want video of playback issues. I'm not watching the movies a second time in a week just to get a video of the skipping.

Maybe we should contact the studios that they have contracts via social media and let them know the disrespect this label is treating their films with.
