Holy crap, Abraxas finally gets a good release?!?! I love that guilty pleasure. I'll add Trouble in Mind to make it worthwhile for free shipping this time.

Revenge of the Cheerleaders though? I have the older Code Red release, and that has both Widescreen and Open Matte versions. However, it was a BD-25 disc with both versions shoved on it. I'd like to have the Subtitles and Trailer/Radio Spot, but is it worth $30? Hmm.

EDIT: I just placed the order for Abraxas and Trouble in Mind, and for some reason I wasn't even charged taxes like normal??? WOW. I even went back and added Revenge of the Cheerleaders to the cart just to see, and that did actually add the tax for all 3 items then. I then removed it...went through checkout and again, and sure enough, no taxes added for *only* Abraxas and Trouble in Mind. Cart error, or what? Oh well, fine with me. $59.96 for both, no friggin' tax for once!

So, I decided to test it again... added Revenge of the Cheerleaders and a random 2nd item, and it showed no tax again during checkout. But if I added another 3rd item to the cart again, tax is added for all. Very weird. I didn't place another order, but just wanted to see if the tax bug could be replicated again.

Could they not license the Riffrax track for Abraxas? Missed opportunity to add extra value since they already have a partnership with them and MST3K.

Revenge of the Cheerleaders is my favorite of that 70s cheerleaders trilogy so I want to pick that up but there's nothing in the description about 2 aspect ratios. The CR BD is 1.78:1 and 1.33:1. SF's is 1.66:1. Assuming that's the proper aspect ratio though for the 2 versions on CRs BD they look very different. Hope SF used the better quality print.

According to IMDB it was released as 1.85:1. I'm not sure where the 1.66:1 came from.

Can anyone confirm there is more nudity on the Code Red 1.33:1? I don't know why else CR would release that version.

I'll be gettingi Abraxas for sure at some point. Going to wait and see if there are any September titles I want first. We are also getting closer to their October reveals and wonder what big titles they have in store for that month?

This issue seems to have specifically affected those customers who purchased new releases/more recent releases, starting with those that had street dates beginning in July. There are other examples where a single tracking number has been sent by the system to a customer when in fact multiple shipments have travelled with unique tracking numbers.



Upon investigating the problem, we traced it to a software update that our order management system administered in early July. If you have a new release order that you COMBINED with a current title, it is possible that you have had this experience."



So a computer update from last year caused this?

Often the first Monday closest to a new month. So for September announcements it could be June 26th, but July 3rd is a possibility too.

Is it a general idea that if Shout Factory has streaming rights to titles that are up for preorder on ITunes that a physical disc release is going to happen. I noticed that these 3 titles on the preorder list:

The Crow: Salvation
Dr. Giggles (which does have a BD)
The Getaway (1994) - Rated R cut
Point Break (1991)
