I prefer paying for pre-orders at checkout. I wish more sites gave the option. I don't like having to worry about what payments are going to be taken from my card 3 months from now.

You can do that with PayPal.

Well nothing for me with these announcements but does anyone know who has the rights to Sleepaway Camp II and III?

MGM owns them but we don't know which label (if any) has currently licensed them. I'm sure someone has though, with all of the MGM UHDs coming out lately.

Well we know Kino has said they have no interest in them so we can rule them out. Maybe Vinegar Syndrome or Scream Factory could have re-acquired the license for 4K’s releases. Those are the most likely scenarios I think.

Can't see Shout! letting the sequels go as they were very good sellers for them. All previous releases of the movies had been very elusive for the average consumer.

Hope whoever gets them also releases Return to Sleepaway Camp, the only true sequel.

My prediction is a 4K box set of all three films.

Though it is weird they’re completely OOP domestically when NSM and 88 Films have managed to keep their license for them.

If SF does release them, I doubt it will be in a box set. Most likely just individual 4K’s with new slips. I thought I read somewhere at some point stating that any titles they choose not to re-license is because they haven’t sold well so maybe that’s why but then again SF let the rights expire for Escape From New York and they eventually released it on 4K not long after.

I honestly don’t know what’s up with the sequels at this point since it’s already been a few years since they’ve been OOP. You would think someone would have re-released them at this point, even if not 4K and just standard releases. It’s as much of a mystery to me as Killer Klowns From Outer Space. No clue why no one has re-released it since the Arrow Video version went OOP.

That’s the one from 2008? Love that movie, definitely would want that in a 4 film BoxSet, with that last one restored in 4K from the OCN.

Also, what do you guys think about ‘Point Break (1991)’ in 4K from ‘Shout Select’? Is that a possibility?

Sadly, it is a Fox film, so very doubtful at this point.

I don't think Shout has II and III anymore as the Blu-rays are out of print from them. I did read a post on this forum about a week ago (forget where) that Kino has part III but refuses to release it.

I love the idea of a 4K box set of the 3 of them. Local horror convention in Los Angeles is having five of the Sleepaway Camp actors appearing in October, I wonder if it's some buzz building for the brand.

A collector friend of mine lives in England, we've often joked about the opposite licensing for Sleepaway Camp-- in England, Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3 are bargain bin releases available everywhere, but the first Sleepaway Camp isn't in print there.

A few pages back someone said Pumpkinhead 4K should be happening in October. Is that for real or just a guess. Its only one of my absolute favorite films. I would actually get a poster bundle for it lol
