Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

It's all but guaranteed they'll be doing some sort of Night of the Demons Bundle I'd wager. I'm curious to see what all may be included. October is going to be PRICEY. Normally I'm content to wait, but I don't want to miss out on that Pumpkinhead slip as it's long overdue, and those 3 Night of the Demon Releases are a no brainer. All 3 will be double dip upgrades for me, but I love the look of all 3 slips and so there's no chance I'm missing out on those.

Easy purchase on all 3 Night of the Demons. Not really big into upgrading to 4K if I already have the Bluray; but Night of the Demons is an annual must-watch on Halloween for me & I adore that movie. Plus, 2 & 3 would look weird with slipcovers next to my original without one.

Might as well just get out ahead of this now as well. Scream Factory, can we get this in 2024 in a CE as well? It's surprisingly decent (and honestly better than part 3).



It's a shame it doesn't have a cover that fits the theme of the original trilogy.

Well dang, so much for it being a light October. I was just going to triple dip on Pumpkinhead, but having Night of the Demons 2 and 3 makes me want to go for a full matching set (despite me being fine with their old BD for the first film).

I feel the same way. I had no interest in upgrading my Blu-ray but might as well to have a matching set.

I'm still rocking the Twilight Time disc for The Blob and was holding out on a 4K instead of double dipping on the Scream Factory. Glad I waited. It also paid off with The Craft.

It was only a matter of time before Night of the Demons was announced. I still have the Olive Films disc for NOTD 2, and will happily double dip here for the trilogy.

Pretty disappointing lineup though. I was hoping for the Blumhouse Halloween films and the Psycho sequels (yeah yeah, I know about the Arrow set. Might end up getting it after all). No wonder they didn't have a panel at SDCC this year.

Pumpkinhead isnt the original poster art. But I'll take this over that generic new one they came up with for the last release.

The 2014 Blu-Ray cover is pretty good for a Scream Factory original.

So at this point would it be safe to assume most Scream CEs will be getting 4Ks? I hate to sell my blus without a 4K on the books but SF seems to really be getting the 4Ks out there.

If Witchboard 3 is with Paramount, I wonder if SF will do a similar month for that series, upgrading the first to 4K and doing CEs of 2 and 3? I'd normally question the necessity of doing a CE of 3, but then you'd probably say the same for NOTD3... I guess it makes sense from a commercial and consistency perspective.

Omg, the original vhs cover art for pumpkinhead, that's what most of us were hoping for, wow, thanks Shout! What a difference between boutiques like Scream factory and big studios like Warner bros. Scream went back and got the famous vhs cover for a small movie like Pumpkinhead (something fans were dying for) while we get atrocious new art for Poltergeist and The Exorcist (much more famous movies) from WB. Crazy!

In for The Blob, Pumpkinhead and eventually when I can afford it the Shaw bros set. What a month!

2 is good. I've never seen 3 but gotta get it to complete the trilogy.

I’d say 3 is a piece of shit compared to the first two, but not completely unwatchable.

There's a 3rd Witchboard film? I never knew. I think it's safe to assume Shout will replicate the NOTD trilogy with a similar Witchboard trilogy barring rights issues with the third film. Presumably Kevin Tenney's company Blue Rider Pictures has the rights.
