Yes, as with Importcds they fall under the same banner of ownership as deep discount.

I don't think they're making fewer posters, but allocating more of them to the bundles. There are still thousands of posters available in those bundles.

I still think SF is misleading people with the stock counts. When the 548 of NOTD 2 runs out, there's going to be more stock, that's just some lower arbitrary number that may represent the first pressing or whatever, but there's going to be more...so they're tricking people into buying sooner. Also were there slipcovers pictured with NOTD 2+3 before, I can't recall and now there's no slip pictured.

Last I heard that's still under government review and they could raise the threshold way higher which they should as a $600 a year seller is still small potatoes, they should really only go after like the 10k+ crowd.

They aren't trying to mislead anyone. The stock counts are reflective of their internal inventory counts. It's not like they have an unlimited supply. They're listing the total amount of their direct store allotment, and if/when that sells out, they shift more from another warehouse, or order more. This is how all businesses operate, the only difference is you're now able to see the numbers.

Getting people. to rush and panic buy. They will make a sh*t ton of $ from it. I can't blame them there. As a business owner myself, I love making $$$.

They do make different amounts of posters depending on the title. I believe The Brave Archer set only had 600 printed.

Agreed. When that Tax rule was implemented decades ago $600 was more or less equivalent to $20,000 in today's money and meant for small businesses and folks that are actually generating income. Not small potato hobby sellers, mom and pop garage sales, and other minimal transactions. History tells me otherwise, but I'm going to hold onto hope that at least someone somewhere has some semblance of common sense in Washington and can convince others that $600 in 2023 is stupid and that the amount should be exponentially higher so as not to waste anyones's time.

Their reputation is in the toilet so it's no surprise they are pulling all the FOMO tricks. But it's not going to work on me, psychologically I have rejected this company completely. It doesn't matter how limited the slipcovers and posters are, as long as their discs look like Freddy Krueger has been handling them, I'm not buying them. Just too much trouble to return and exchange. They have lost thousands of $$$ just from me alone.

Thank ya! They're my favorite band. And that is very cool about the 86 tour! I wasn't even born at that point haha! I've seen them 3 times so far and have 2 more shows lined up: Denver 2008, Denver 2017, Lincoln 2018, Phoenix 2023 (upcoming 2 shows; over Labor Day Weekend).
And agreed on that book- it is a good read for sure!

EDIT: Great avatar yourself!

I would love to see this reversed but can't imagine it happening. Too many tax breaks have been given to those that can most afford it and that huge revenue loss needs to be partially made up somewhere. This was an easy way to get more money from the small potato and mom and pop sellers.

Hey, cmac, if you're still around, you gotta get rid of the multiple security verification steps if you want people to shop directly. Shopping with Shout feels like I'm trying to break into Fort Knox or something. It's just movies

Looks like Diabolik and Movies Unlimited have the best prices so far for Night of the Demons 2 and 3 at $27.99 a pop. I think they were $21.99 or some such at Bull Moose a few days ago but they must've wisened up because now they're $29.99. Deep Discount wants $31.25, which is weird because MU and DD are owned by the same group. I ended up grabbing all 3 from Diabolik since I couldn't do Pay-In-4 via Shout. \

Got the Irwin Allen set for $83 and some change from Movies Unlimited.

Pay in 4 isn't an option when ordering directly from Shout?

It used to be. I didn't see the option but Shout's site is screwy lately.

I was hoping to use it for the cheaper Night of the Demons bundle but if not i'll just do the same and order from Diabolik.
