Nice. Guess they just added it while I was posting the others. SF did a great job with these extras, including workprints for all of them, and new commentary tracks too.

Got to Bride of Chucky UHD last night, as my Best Buy order with all 4 showed up yesterday. Very nice looking disc and sound was fantastic, especially with that soundtrack. No scratches and frankly none on any of the UHD discs. But, my disc did hesitate once during playback. Unfortunately....I am used to it, so I have moved on. Can't wait to swallow down the next 3..

FYI...The 4 slipcovers were not shrink wrapped with the cases, as all the previous ones were. They were loose, which would lead me to speculate the print run on the slips is a lot lower than the other releases....but I could be wrong...

Our first Blu-ray player would freeze for 1-2 seconds at exactly the same timeframe, regardless of the movie or disc we were watching. We replaced that player already.

WOW, those NOTD extras are wild. International cut as well for NOTD? Didn't even knew that existed.

NOTD3 TV Cut and Workprint? Insane.

On top of all of that, all of the newly created features. These are shaping up to be discs of the year for me. I can't wait to get my hands on these releases. Outside of the scratched disc fiascos, Scream has been honestly doing great work this year.

I really hope SF plans on doing something for Sleepaway Camp as November is the first film's 40th anniversary. Their BD is a decade old now and while it was a great restoration for the time, the film needs a new scan.

Agreed the additional cuts & new interviews remind me of earlier Scream Factory releases specifically “The Return of the Living Dead” since that one was super packed with stuff.

Funny you say that, Scream's original release of Return of the Living Dead is one of the releases which really launched me into collecting these past couple years now. The old MGM DVD back in the day was one of the first DVDs I ever purchased and watched the hell out of it. I remember always being bummed how that disc was so empty of anything.

So what are the next four SF 4K upgrades everyone is hoping for in Nov?

For me it's:

SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT
CLASS OF 1984
SLEEPAWAY CAMP
10 TO MIDNIGHT


I would love these upgrades via SF but I'm sure Paramount will put them out themselves:

SILVER BULLET
DEAD ZONE


I'm sure SONY will release ... STARMAN .. themselves.

WARNER will sure to release... COBRA .. on 4K.

Would love ...DAY OF THE DEAD .. but supposedly the OCN is missing.

And finally, would love a few Hammer Dracula films upgraded to 4K:

Speaking of potential 4Ks, I went through Scream’s output a while ago specifically looking for Blu-Rays advertised with “4K Masters” and I came away with this list.

There’s probably more out there but these were the ones I found;

Considering how Scream has been doing lots of 4K Re-Releases lately we might see some from this list in the future.

Kino has said they have the 4K rights to .. NINJA III. Which I want really bad on 4K. However, they said a yr ago they don't believe it would sell well. Same goes for .. REVENGE OF THE NINJA. And considering they're re-releasing ..ENTER THE NINJA .. on blu again.. not likely to happen anytime soon.

Totally forgot about .. 10 TO MIDNIGHT. Would buy Day 1 on 4K!

No way ..THE OMEN .. is happening. But I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But that one's up ot the mouse.

Unfortunately I had the same thing happen today on my copy of Halloween 3 as well. Watched it last year without issue. Today it froze up at the Hour and seven minute mark. Disc looks flawless but the case is filled with the usual hazy fogginess and about 10 "sucker" circles that look like where a machine likely picked it up. Wiped the disc down quickly, fired it back up a chapter back in the film and it played without issues the rest of the way. I wouldn't be shocked if this was a recurring problem even with older discs when the cases look as gassed up and hazy as this one did. Thankfully, a bit or pre-planning by wiping the disc off prior to starting the film will hopefully take care of the issue in most cases.

And this is why I'm generally content sticking with Blu-rays. I just want to watch the movie, not deal with constant maintenance and reliability issues. Whether it's part of some conspiratorial plan or not, this is the kind of stuff that could drive a person to streaming.
