The Oyama films are a favorite, but also hoping for a decent number of new to disc titles too.

Stoked about Surviving the Game... Guess I'll buy a BD. (Haven't bought many outside of TV shows and the Hong Kong films over the past 5 years.)

Depending on what's on the Chiba set, this might be my favorite slate of titles Shout has released this year.

I know this has turned into the bellyaching about scratch disc thread and BOY is it annoying, but Shout has really put out some good titles this year.

There is an active thread that deals with scratch disc issues. Post there as this thread is getting bogged down with the issue for something that Shout has no control over. It's been mentioned time and time again that it's the Mexican facility that getting these disc scratched and other labels are also having the issue.

Someone should try to get a job over there and figure out what's going on with this plant. I know everyone is upset over buying a quality product and wanting it to work, but everyone here is pretty much aware of the gamble at this point. You know the risk you're getting in when you buy these discs and yes it sucks. Also, it's not like you're not getting a free exchange, you just have to be patient about it. I'm sure Shout is probably a lot more frustrated than anyone here with all the disc returns they are dealing with. I guess they could change plants, but everyone would have to be ok with a bit of delay for things to catch up.

Either way, I'm sure out of the next 1000 posts here, 900 will be about the scratches.

I think the surprise (speaking only for myself) may be due more to the fact that Death Wish 2018 was pretty universally maligned by critics and audiences alike, and made $49 million globally on a $30 million budget.

Wrath of Man has the Guy Ritchie/Statham thing going for it, and was a modest hit outside of the US ($104 million worldwide on a $40 million budget).

The two movies aren't really comparable, and there's clearly more demand/interest in one over the other.

I'm still hoping for Warriors Of Virtue and Guyver 2 getting Blu rays from anyone. I'll take Mill Creek at this point.

Oops, your right. I checked my "The Sonny Chiba Collection" DVDs and Ninja Wars, Legend Of The Eight Samurai, and G.I. Samurai were licensed from Kadokawa.

One of the others definitely looks to be Karate Warriors (1976). Really happy Golgo 13 is included, I know you wanted that one for some time now.

I'm down for Silver Bullet & Tales from the Darkside for sure. Possibly on the Farscape series. Would be a blind buy, but I do like the older Star Trek shows and some of the SyFy Channel series...

The Farscape Blu-ray boxset is a slim possibility (never saw it when shown on TV here, but I know it was very popular). Glad that Shout are still releasing the odd TV show here and there on physical media (although I would like to see some older television series from them). The Police Academy films, I've got the UK Blu-ray boxset already (depends on whether the Shout release will have new HD masters and exclusive extras).

Looks like Tales from the Darkside (might put it in the blu ray case), Silver Bullet, and the Police Academy set for me.

Think it'll just be Chiba 2 for me, I'm satisfied with my Blu-ray editions for the others. Maybe I'll grab Farscape sometime in the future if it ever hits a nice price.
