It's gonna be MGM . . . I know it, I just know it.

[QUOTE=Youre My Boy Blu!;6429508]Well, In that case....

My wishlist aside, these MGM titles would probably be among the front-runners to be first considered for a Shout/Scream Factory release.

Why would you want a special edition of Pumpkinhed, when it already had a great one? It really had great special features, so why redo something that has already been done. I mean, it had:
Commentary By Co-Screenwrtier Gary Cerani And Creature & FX Creators Tom Woodruff, Jr. And Alex Gillis, Moderated By Filmmaker Scott Spiegel
Featurettes:
- Evolution Of A Demon
- The Cursed And The Damned
- The Tortured Soul Of Ed Harley
- Constructing Vengeance
- Razorback Holler
- Stan
Demonic Toys Featurette
Behind The Scenes
Still Gallery
Theatrical Trailer

If it's MGM the two I most want and would purchase instantly are The Fog (1980) and Trancers (1985), the latter in desperate need of its first quality transfer.

I believe all of these have shown on MGM HD, so the material/hd master is available.

I think you misunderstood my listing of those titles.
I led into those titles stating "My wishlist aside..." implying the titles I listed previously were of particular interest to me and the titles that followed, one of which being Pumpkinhead were just some titles I projected as being easy grabs for Shout/Scream Factory. Well, except maybe the Brood. But I never cared for Pumpkinhead, at all.

If you are in the position to do so, I recommend importing the Region-free version of The Fog from the UK.
I did through Amazon UK for pretty cheap.
It's now listed at £5.89 = $9.39
Nice PQ with some minor inconsistencies here and there, but still good sharpness and vibrant colors. It's worth the wait of importing if you really must have it.

UHF is one of the finest films in human history.
My guess is MGM will do that themselves though...

While I agree the previous "Pumpkinhead" DVD had pretty stellar features on it, I certainly am not against seeing it come to Blu-ray. If that means brand new features produced by Red Shirt Pictures, then I can't see that as a negative either. If MGM is the studio that Scream Factory has netted titles from then I'm sure "Pumpkinhead" will make its way to the line-up at some point.

This.

And you can never have too many special features. Pumpkinhead needs to go Blu.

Most of the movies from MGM's Midnite Movies series would fit in nicely under the Scream Factory or the Roger Corman's Cult Classics labels. Lord knows that a number of the Vincent Price movies could use an upgrade since some of those weren't even anamorphic on DVD.

Assuming it is MGM, they have several movies exclusively on Netflix in HD that I'd love to own on blu-ray, such as:

Modern Girls
Blood Games
The Immortalizer
Spellbinder
The Resurrected

Well, I just got my copy of Halloween III in the mail today, direct from Shout Factory.

Great special edition it may be, I'd love for Shout to get it just so we'd see a Blu-Ray release.

When I asked if the license was with Universal....I knew SHOUT! had a license with Universal already but, I thought I saw someone say a "sub-license". That threw me off and I misunderstood what cmac meant.

With that said, I do hope the new license is with MGM as well. Maybe then we will get a good transfer of the original 'Carrie' and get 'The Rage: Carrie 2' released. As well as all the others from MGM's great horror catalog.

Maybe we'll also get The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976) on Blu-ray, assuming MGM still has it. What a lovely little film it is. Jodie Foster is wonderful. I'm so glad I have the DVD. Reminds me of watching a rainy Saturday afternoon flick on network television back in the day. Ah, the good ol' days...

If it's MGM, maybe Shout! can look into releasing all 5 Child's Play films in one collection (6 if they want to include Curse of Chucky in the mix). Other great considerations would be The Video Dead, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Dolls, Scanners, The Howling, The Return Of The Living Dead (I know we have it, but if the original mix is included, it'd be worth the upgrade), The Exterminator 2, and House III: The Horror Show.

Though not horror, maybe we can also see a new edition of Erik The Viking with all cuts, a 50th Anniversary Collection of all things Pink Panther (and since Return's home video rights is with Universal which is also another Shout! Factory sublicensor, it will mark the first time the film is in a Pink Panther collection in the US!) maybe even releasing the remaing United Artists DePatie-Freleng cartoons on DVD (including The Inspector Volume 2 and Roland and Rattfink since they have yet to have an individual releases).

I would love to see the Midnite Movies stuff come to BD. A double feature on a 50GB disc would be fine for most of those titles.
