Does anyone have any information yet about the source material that the upcoming Collector's Edition of Silver Bullet (1985) is based on??

Personally, I'm interested 1080p disc only at this point.

Seems like the Chopper Blu-ray got moved to January of next year.

Product Note: Extras in progress and will be announced at a later date. Please note that the street date has moved to January 16, 2024 to provide additional time to complete new extras.

Bring on The Tommy Knockers, The Langoliers, or something like The Night Flier instead. I'm not opposed to 4k releases of the previously released titles, but getting new to Blu releases of those remaining King Mini series (and Night Flier) would be great. (I'd also love to see a "Sometimes they come back" trilogy release as well, though that is unlikely as I believe the sequels remain stuck in Lionsgate jail).

I'd be down for another release of IT only if it was the original release version with 2 parts. But also they should Blu all those other classic SK miniseries and definitely The Night Flier.

I'm definitely down for The Langoliers on Blu, love that film/miniseries.

The novella is great too. Would love a more modern adaptation that could actually do justice to the book. It's very Lovecraftian ways that would make it a bit difficult to adapt the actual monsters, but the emotional core of that story hit me so deep when I read it and watched the miniseries as a middle schooler.

Of course, we all do. I said those because they are King from Warner Brothers like IT is. Which years ago, Warner didn't want to license them at that time.

On the subject of the King miniseries/TV movies, it'd be pretty killer if we got a box set. Could see that getting kind of pricy though considering how many of them there are, plus I imagine that some folks wouldn't want to pay all that money just for the likes of Salem's Lot and It.

I'd love to have more made for TV King upgrades from DVD. Any type of boxset would be great as well. Some people hear made for TV and they think they are tame, somehow beneath them or just not worth their time, but that is their mistake. I grew up on most of those, and they are very entertaining in their own right. What they couldn't do with gore and nudity, they made up for with suspense, score/music, atmosphere or just the story itself

The Night Flier would be amazing and is one of my most wanted titles. My DVD looks like I'm trying to watch it on a dial-up modem from 2004, but it's also one of Miguel Ferrer's best (also one of his more underrated roles) where he really gets to shine as the lead instead of what he got most of the time, which was the supporting character we could only wish was the lead.

Those are all great, and let's not forget Stephen King's version of The Shining (1997). A very personal story for him as he did the teleplay and was a co-producer. A two-part TV movie, A Warner property that SF might have.

I believe I read on the forums recently that Second Sight may have also acquired The Night Flier in their dealings with Rubenstein.

Although if that were true, I'd assume they would have something by now. Or maybe they can't.

Rumours.

I’d suspect it’d be from the OCN (original camera negative). To my knowledge Shout has never had a UHD release that was sourced from a interpositive, although a few of their UHDs for newer films have been sourced from digital intermediates.
