I'm so hyped to watch Night Of The Demons 3 on Blu! Never seen it, avoided the awful DVD scans hoping for a Blu ray. Love part 1 and 2 and I'm sure I will enjoy the trash that is part 3.

On another note, I find The Convent 2000 to be like a spiritual successor to Night Of The Demons. And from what I hear, there is going to be a 4K of that soon too. So I always throw that on too, and the remake of Night Of The Demons is fun too.

Not impressed with on-site review of NOTD 4k. It says chunky yellowish grain more noticeable on the UHD compared to the new blu. Reminds me of the recent Severin Nightmare review, wherein the reviewer also felt the new 1080 presentation might be preferable to at least some. I've never even bought this movie before (have it arriving) and this is annoying. And I know some in here bought SF's 2 prior editions and may have had it on DVD as well, so this is the 4th time they're buying this movie. What the hell did we invest in new TVs and new players for...I get that overall it's still an upgrade over prior blus, we still get upticks in detail/clarity/etc and it's the best the film will ever look, but I didn't upgrade my whole setup to defer to 1080p blus packaged in with UHDs. With a lot of these older films, it's really diminishing returns with these format upgrades, and there's nowhere to go from these UHD releases, that's it.

I don't remember much about the movie but I do remember, clearly, that the special effects were terrible. Lots of those early primitive morphing effects that were prevalent on a lot of 90's DTV stuff. I plan a revisit myself soon but I hope I can bear to watch it now

Just pre-ordered my 4k copies of Point Break and Clue. Clue was down to like 109 copies and Point Break had like 143 left. They're going fast.

The Halloween III: Season of the Witch vinyl set only has 27 units left in stock and is sold out on the Sacred Bones website. I'd hate to spend the full $58 for it but I'm afraid it'll get sold out quickly during the Shocktober sale. Is this really all the stock left of it? Or is there a chance that they have more and its not 100% accurate? I was planning to get the II and III sets (to complete it with the first set that I got from the 4K sale earlier this year) during the Shocktober sale. I feel like I have a better chance of getting II than III right now.

Edit: It suddenly jumped up to 29 copies now. Huh.

This time when I did a Google search for the Shocktober sale, this link now pops up, but I don’t think the prices have changed yet?

I doubt this is the page for the sale. Those are usually on a differently formatted page. I think these are just titles that have been (or maybe will be like the newer double features, Dead Silence, etc. which weren't previously in sales as 1080p releases) featured in the Shocktober sales. Hopefully it's an indicator of some to come, but I kind of doubt the 4K pre-orders (The Dead Zone, Tales from the Darkside) will be included, although their older 1080p releases are probably likely.

Just speculating though!

I’m sure they’ll remove the few preorders listed when the sale goes live, but I’ll be happy if the rest of these are included.

One and two have a similar vibe/look and are highly enjoyable. Part 3 is unfortunately a noticeable step down and pretty much every faucet. That's not to say that there isn't fun to be had, but honestly, I think the remake might be the better movie all around. NOTD3 reminds of what happened with Wishmaster 3/4 or Pumpkinhead 3/4. It tries to recreate the fun, excitement, and atmosphere of the earlier films, but just doesn't have the components to do so. That all said... my copies of the trilogy are arriving soon from Movies Unlimited and I can't wait to revisit all of them.

On a completely unrelated note... What are the odds that Scream Factory (or anyone really) could potentially be prepping a new release of Stephen Kings Thinner? It's one of the few King films I haven't yet picked up, and with the earlier edition now sitting at 10 years old I wasn't sure if this had the potential to see a fresh scan/edition any time soon or not. Also.. I'd love to see the "Sometimes they Come Back" sequels on Blu Ray as well.

there is nothing in my wish list <$17 for standard Blurays. Decent, but not low enough for me to put in an order.
