If it was Showtime, would Psycho 4 be a possibility, perhaps with bonus feature film Bates Motel (with Bud Cort)?
Universal owns all Psycho films, including Bates Motel.

I do not think Body Bags was part of the Taurus deal (the one with Day of the Dead and Kentucky Fried Movie).

New Amsterdam owns Dawn of the Dead. Unfortunately Cliff has shot it down. But there is always hope in the future.
lionsgate might have it though????

Why do you say that? I do not see evidence for their having it.

That makes no sense. Why would you say that when there is no evidence anyone has it, much less Lionsgate or Grindhouse, when they both rarely release any cult titles. And Grindhouse is very unlikely for most anything, especially not Dawn of the Dead, because they would never be able to afford it.

I think it is a safe bet no one actually has it, right now.

That "news" was nothing new, they (New Amsterdam) have had the film for decades, just under a different name.

Cliff, got a question regarding some major cult classics in need of the "Scream" treatment on blu-ray, some are available already but are really crappy releases and some have yet to be on shelves in America. Regardless, can you let us know if there has been any interest in releasing any of these titles properly here in America?

"Hellbound: Hellraiser II" - Image put this one out as part of a "Midnight Madness" series thing, I'm still gripping my Anchor Bay special edition because it's packed with extras and Image didn't do shit to put any of them on the blu-ray.

While we're at it, I also got "Hellraiser III" on my mind, now I know Echo Bridge is releasing it on every 8-movie compilation they can think of, but along with "Hellraiser II" I luckily still got the release Paramount put out on DVD that has a Clive Barker featurette on "The Art of Horror", but most of all it's not the unrated cut. Any interest on doing this one some justice?

Now I'm just looking at what I got left on DVD, if you would let us know if any of the titles mentioned are strong future possibilities..
"Demons"
"Tales From The Darkside: The Movie"
"Creepshow 2"
"Fire In The Sky"
"April Fool's Day"
"Cemetery Man"
"976-Evil"
"C.H.U.D."/"C.H.U.D. II" double feature?
"Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III"
"In The Mouth of Madness"

.. and God knows this one been asked a million times but fcuk it, "Prince of Darkness."

Cliff, we love you and appreciate the time you take to answer our questions.

Edit: Also, I've been keeping up on "Nightbreed" news and their "Cabal Cut" (uncut version) screenings. They have raised money for a release and last I heard aiming for an October release, any chance you guys may be distributing it or working on it in any fashion?

Demons and Demons 2 have already been announced as upcoming Synapse discs. Many (all?) of the other films you are asking about have already been nixed by Cliff. As always, the first post in this thread lists all titles he has said no to.

Id like a re-release of the Peter Benchley's The Beast - starting by remastering it and have it in the OAR

Wait a sec... At one point Paramount Home Video released Hellraiser III on DVD? And it has The Art of Horror on it?

I only own/like Hellraiser 1 & 2, but I used to have The Art of Horror on its own VHS and have been wanting it on DVD for a long time.

"Demons" - SYNAPSE
"Tales From The Darkside: The Movie" PARAMOUNT/WARNER
"Creepshow 2" - IMAGE
"Fire In The Sky" - PARAMOUNT/WARNER
"April Fool's Day" - PARAMOUNT/WARNER
"Cemetery Man" - NOT SURE
"976-Evil" - SONY
"C.H.U.D."/"C.H.U.D. II" double feature? - IMAGE
"Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III" - WARNER
"In The Mouth of Madness" - WARNER

so, none of these are possible ... I'm not sure who owns CEMETERY MAN

It's out of print now, but yes for a moment in time Paramount used the most minimal amount of effort and put the theatrical cut of "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth" on DVD. It has "The Art of Horror" and a theatrical trailer. It's even in widescreen too!

Edit - Not as out of print as I thought - http://www.amazon.com/Hellraiser-III...s=hellraiser+3

Thanks for the info. Yeah, it appears that it is OOP now. I never cared for any of the Hellraiser films past the second one, so I'm not really sure it's worth getting just for The Art of Horror, which I just now discovered is available to watch on youtube. If you're a fan of Clive Barker, I suggest checking out the episode of The South Bank Show with him -- it's also on youtube.

Yeah I still got my copy but in 8 years time who knows whose hand's it's in now.

By the way "Nightbreed" fans on Facebook, please comment and like my post about getting Russell Cherrington, the man who spearheaded the "Cabal Cut" (uncut) version of "Nightbreed" to possibly get him to consider "Scream Factory" as a distributor if it is at all possible. They've made money from the screenings and as far as I'm aware they would like to possibly release "Nightbreed" uncut sometime this year and "Scream Factory" would be the perfect place to do so.

Thanks, every "like" and comment counts believe me, Russell is always interacting on the "Occupy Midian" page and further more always in contact with Clive Barker. I think it's a matter of getting their attention, getting them in contact with Cliff or somebody and then whatever they gotta do with Morgan Creek.

Morgan Creek signed off on letting Russell put the uncut version together and they signed off and letting him screen it wherever there is large interest, so it seems Morgan Creek doesn't really care as long as the money is coming in and they are finally aware that this is a movie with a big cult following.
