Yeah, ridiculously awesome, in almost everything.

I like that film more and more each time I watch it. Initial impressions were pretty but re-watches over the years have given me more and more to love about it.

I should have watched that instead. I wasted my time and watched Halloween Resurrection tonight. I don't know wtf I was thinking.

Only seen it once but vampires didn't do it for me. Woods felt like an edgy teen trying his best to look cool.

Not sure if you saw it in the theater but that was 25 years ago. May be worth a second watch.

I’m gonna guess that maybe we’ll see announcements around Halloween time.

Just got done revisiting Night Of The Demons 1-3 for the first time in 20+ years...can't say 1 or 3 hold up well, especially 3 with that 1997 CGI opening, morphing, and other CGI effects. 2 to me is by far the best of the series. Will save the alternate cuts for future viewings. Glad I got these in the MoviesUnlimited deal with another film for barely $70.

And possibly the same treatment for the 90s Ninja Turtles films

The first act is good, the second act is a bore, the third act is amazing. It averages out to above average. If the middle portion wasn’t such a drag it’d be top tier Carpenter. It makes vampires vicious, the way they should be. Woods is in top form and the opening
[Show spoiler]kill of the hunters is still such a great death, being split from the waist up.

Agree 100%. The disappointment I think I and many have had with the film on the first viewings has to do with the expectations in regard to the fact that it's a Carpenter film and so that middle section sort of sucks the life out of what are otherwise solid 1st and 3rd acts. Once a person gets past that initial disappointment and knows what to expect, the film is a lot more fun. Definitely worth a 2nd (3rd, 4th, etc) look.

Maybe, maybe not... Maybe if Warner hadn't acquired them, someone else would have bought them. It was only 15 years ago.

I'm a big fan of 2. I think it deserves the cult following that the original film (which is nowhere near as good) has.

You're right that they didn't merge until 2008, but they've been a part of Time Warner since Turner merged with Warner in 1996.

I agree about NOTD2 being a really great sequel. I don't know if it is better than the original, but it's pretty damn close.

His post-80s output is underrated in general, imo. The Ward is the only one I don’t care for.

I received The Blob, Pumpkinhead, My Bloody Valentine on 4k UHD and Night Of The Demons 2 and 3 on BD today from amazon. I was so nerveous about scratched discs that I had to take an anxiety pill before opening them. I was planning on walking down the local store afterwards but I didn't want to chance fate after none of them had scratches.

There’s going to be a new section in hospitals in the near future just to treat physical media scratch-itis

The Ring Collection may be getting delayed. A Canadian distributor posted notice in their most recent excel product updates that it went from 12/12 to TBA. Best Buy doesn't have a date listed. So far, SF still shows 12/12, so we'll see.
