This one was probably a no brainer. They released every other film in 4K. They know lots will get it just to have them all.

I like both the Carrie and Child's Play remakes, so I am probably in at some point.

During the past year, I have purchased most of my Scream Factory titles from Best Buy brick-and-mortar locations around here. Best Buy's removal of their physical media sections will force me to go somewhere else fun to buy the titles.

I will probably just go to DiabolikDVD like I do for almost everything else.

Also, I am a huge Stephen King fan, but his television version of The Shining is...not great.

The Buddi Song alone is already better than those movies ^^

CARRIE is not from Sony.

Excited to pickup The Shining. And may grab Carrie down the line during a sale. Child’s Play I actually watched for the first time over the weekend & felt like a movie with lots of good ideas & dreadfully awful execution. Only reason I’d have to pick up this is if I didn’t have a slip on my Blu to look nice on my shelf. So, happy to be able to skip it.

Overall, not a bad month especially when you factor in The Ring collection coming out then too.

Ah, my mistake. I see it was distributed by Sony, but MGM appears to be the one that released it on DVD.

Would definitely take upgrades of Demon Knight, Bordello of Blood, and The Serpent and the Rainbow.

I'd still like to see 4K upgrades to:

Trick 'r Treat (Warner)
House on Haunted Hill (Warner)
House of Wax 2005 (Warner)
Ghost Ship (Warner)
Poltergeist II (MGM)
Poltergeist III (MGM)

What am I missing? Given Kino's comments on Storm of the Century, it's safe to assume that all but the Night Flier are held up for the same reasons. The Night Flier of course is a financial matter thanks to Rubinstein.

I assume Lionsgate still maintains control of the "Sometimes they Come Back" sequels as well correct? That would explain their absense from Blu Ray also.
I know Storm of the Century is likely an impossibility given the niche market that is blu-ray these days and costs required for redoing all of the special effects in HD (if even Star Trek the Next Generation caused CBS to give up on DS9 due to sales not being higher than costs, there's no way a forgotten Stephen King miniseries would be greenlighted), but I also wondered if The Langoliers and/or The Tommyknockers might be in the same boat. I haven't seen either in decades, but didn't they have some abysmal CGI, and weren't they both TV movies? If so they might be out of the question for the same reason. Though I guess The Stand didn't have the issue, for whatever reason (though I can't recall any CGI in that besides face morphing).

Child’s Play does have an option within the listing to see other options available for the listing, but currently it’s just the one listing with poster that’s up, something else should be coming. Carrie does appear to just be the poster though, no similar link. I can’t remember which it was last year, but at least once the bundles went up like an hour or a little more after everything else.

Edit: Unless that’s just meant to advertise their other Child’s Play 4K releases, but if that was the case Carrie should have a link to pop up the original also. The link as it is, has been almost if not exclusively used for titles that have multiple bundles available.

I don't know why the stock numbers are so weird with their preorders~maybe they are always that way though?

Scream Factory have been primarily using Poster Art for their 4Ks with some exceptions (Alligator, Company of Wolves & Krampus) for a while now, Its Nothing new.

Besides I feel like people would've complained about new art judging by the way some of their new Commissed art get received.

Classic Poster Art seems to be the safest bet overall.

The other Chucky 4Ks had site exclusive alternative slips with new art. So it's disappointing that this one will stand out for those of us who went with those versions.

As a die hard Shout collector I will upgrade K-19 and was contemplating also getting Carrie and Child’s play, but I already have the Blu-rays with sleeves (Carrie even with lenticular)
and I’m not gonna upgrade everything just cause it’s 4K
I’m already double dipping way too much, at some point the insanity has to
slow down

On a side note I would also like to stare that I would be nice to have more first time to Blu-ray releases then constantly releasing the same movies over and over again! That goes for all labels.

I agree, Darkman and Funeral Home are the only ones I have interest in.

Seems to me Scream is pretty much a slowly dying label and scraping the bottom of the barrel for horror titles now and also just re-releasing stuff on 4k. They use to be my number one label. Hopefully they can get some better titles later this year.

Early thinking, but releases already announced through the first quarter, you gotta wonder what their plan is for September/October.

They've done Halloween, they've done Chucky.

I could imagine the psycho sequels, but with Arrows release, they'd probably be inferior.
