A few that would be great to see from them around Sep/Oct:

- Trick r' Treat 4K (since they put it out on Blu-ray already)
- The Strangers/ The Strangers: Prey at Night (1st was already released on Blu-ray, and there is a new trilogy coming out this year)
- Rob Zombie Halloween sequels
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)/ The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Hoping we'll see 4Ks for King Kong '76 and King Kong Lives in April since the next Kong movie is releasing to theaters that month. Their Blu for KK'76 came out two months after GvK was released, though maybe they had to push it.

Haven't seen the Child's Play remake or the late-nineties The Shining mini-series, but out of the Shout! Studios and Scream Factory announcements earlier, these two titles I would be interested in getting.

The cheapness of the Child's Play remake will be even more apparent in 4K. It's shocking how bad it looks compared to the TV show.

Though the announcements aren't the most exciting for me personally, I actually think this is a fairly decent slate. These are bigger properties/titles making their way to 4k and those coupled with the "The Shining" tv series announcement actually make for a realtively strong slate in my opinion. Are they the titles that most of us want / have been asking for? No... but I still consider them a step up on so many monthly slates of years past and without question are better than the dark months of 2020 where multiple months went by with nothing announced. We can't win them all, but I'm ok with this slate.

The combination of 4k upgrades and new to Blu announcements I feel are a nice trend I hope continues. Scream Factory may not be dipping into the deep wells too often these days but there still remains plenty of never on Blu Titles that would fit well within the Scream Factory brand. Here's a few I've been thinking of recently that aren't the obvious choices many of us have been asking for, for years...

Pumpkin Head Blood Feud
Pumpkin Head Ashes to Ashes
Final Prayer aka The Borderlands
Henry II: Mask of Sanity
The Unborn II
Feast II
Feast III
The Grudge 2
The Grudge 3
Strange Frequency (2001)

Most of these aren't the lynchpin titles which an announcement slate would be built around, but all would be welcomed by me and some (The Unborn II) I'd be downright ecstatic over.

I'd love 4K UltraHDs of Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers and Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland (the original too, but the sequels are far superior to me) and am surprised we haven't seen these get another release considering the Blu-rays have been out of print for a few years.

Amityville II: The Possession (the BEST Amityville film) seemed like a natural 4K UltraHD title for Vinegar Syndrome due to them releasing the 1979 original in October 2022. Maybe Scream should consider it since VS doesn't seem interested.

and where is Black Christmas (2006)? Seems like it's in purgatory along with Clownhouse (1988). - at least in the US. It's been released elsewhere.

Are Halloween 4 and 5 shipping with slipcovers (not the slipboxes) from the Shout website? I know the original popped up in stores with a slipcover last year, but wasn't sure if Shout did the same for Return/Revenge, or if it's just a case without anything else.

II is the only Amityville movie I am interested in owning on physical media. I can't figure out how lesser films like It's About Time (which I like, but not as much) and Dollhouse have stand-alone blu-rays, and II has not. It's mystifying.

Will be interesting to see how the other cut of Jennifer 8 will be presented on Shout's release (like someone else has said in the North America thread, whether it will be in HD or not). A good-sounding list of extras/bonus features. This and Funeral Home I'm likely going to get (the latter definitely).

Would though like to see from Shout (if uncut masters exist for the whole series or the majority of the episodes) a complete series Blu-ray boxset of Police Story and it's spin-offs (especially Police Woman and Joe Forrester).

Does anyone know if the rights for Necronomicon (1993) are with WB (it was distributed on video by New Line) or perhaps Morgan Creek (listed with the same producer as True Romance, Davis Films)?

I don’t see why VS would not be interested in Amityville II. They released Amityville 4-8 on BD. Maybe MGM wouldn’t license 2 and 3 to them or some other studio acquired the rights.

Just wasn't sure if they were doing slipcovers for them like they did with the original film's rerelease.

What's up with Shout Factory's website? Yesterday I went to the going out of print section to find some titles had sold out already, like Scars of Dracula and The Fly Collection, despite them having ample stock left a short time ago. A lot of titles had only a few copies left. I checked back a few hours later and those titles got a bunch more quantities in. The stock counts kept going wildly up and down for awhile. I checked again several hours ago and it seems that the stock counts are back to pretty much where they were before, with ample stock left on most of the titles. And The Fly collection now had over 1000 units in stock! Scars of Dracula is back in stock again with 494 units.
