Shout may be going through a dry spell but I'm banking on more WAC upgrades. Plenty there to look forward to, including a lot of non-horror stuff like The Outfit and Avalanche Express. As far as the rumored Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, I'm thinking there might be an Elm Street-like roadblock holding that one back (hopefully not). Xtro is also inexplicably MIA. Most of the major Warner horror titles that needed a Blu-ray have gotten one except Xtro

The Outfit is really one of the last WB films I really want on BD. There are still plenty, but it's one of my most wanted along with Suburban Commando and the King of Kongs: A Fistful of Quarters.

Please assure me it's better than BADGE 373, which I rank as the WORST cop film of the 70's and I sometimes mix up with this one because of Duvall.

Never seen Badge 373, but I'm sure it's better.

I’m not going to theorize why they pulled it, but inventory counts can definitely push FOMO in both directions. Folks watching VS or Shout counts can figure out if the title might make it to the next sale which may delay their purchase or speed it up if they see it flying off the shelves. Inventory counts for slow selling items ironically slow down sales, while accelerating those already selling fast.

They were (have improved) CONSTANTLY having disc issues. Until a year ago, I was consistently getting scratched discs from them, only them, the ONLY boutique with consistency scratched discs. This was not isolated.

To make customers go through hoops with taking pictures or proof and sending videos of the video skipping or no refund is absolutely absurd.

We collectors are keeping them in business, they need us, we do not need them. Instead of addressing the issues, it was mainly radio silence and hoop jumping to get replacements. People like myself stopped buying directly from them because of this

So you can stop with the high and mighty Shout-apologist attitude. Read the Terror Vision thread, where Brad who works in a small boutique even stated they NEVER as a company would have put up with Shouts issues. THAT is how you work with your customer.

It’s funny that you quote Brad, because he also commented on how annoyed he gets when customers act like they know how these businesses are run and get false rumors started.

I've owned it on VHS and DVD and I don't remember it being a bad film at all. Shocked that guy would say it's bad.

No one did that though, I love how "I want my new product to arrive new" the most basic of concepts in purchasing items, has turned into "people thinking they know how to run a business". Brad said that more in response to my people talking about film rights, transfers, licensing.

The fact that he said what he said about switching plants being something they would do shows that it's not only possible, but the right thing to do.

I liked the free gift for a $100 spent & went with Cursed since I still only have it in DVD & have always liked it. As for the order I went with Halloween 1-3 4K & Night of the Demons 2,3.

I don't think anyone has actually claimed to have better business acumen than actual businessmen, just regular folks offering up unsolicited ideas in more of a conversational setting. Nothing wrong with that and it doesn't break any forum rules. It may mess around some Insider's ego but that's something else entirely

Picked up the Poison Ivy Collection in the recent Amazon sale. Was happily surprised to find it housed in a slipcase five years after release, though I suppose that also goes to show well it’s (not) selling.

I don’t think the side loading slipcases are limited. I’ve not heard of the various “Whatever” Collections sold without (Vincent Price, Universal Horror, Paul Naschy, etc.) and at least personally my copy of the Fessenden collection included the case even after having been sold out on Scream’s shop in the past.

Thinking of going back & placing one more order. I have the Night of the Creeps Umbrella release. Is the SF release worth a double dip? It has more special features so I’m really leaning towards picking it up.
