Awesome! This and The Fog are the titles I am most excited about this year! Hopefully it sells well enough to get a vol. 2!

And for those that haven't dove into Price or older horror films, hopefully this being a Scream release will motivate them to check them out as we all know you gotta have them all!

Releasing these films in 10-packs is probably the only way to go since almost no one will buy them if they're released individually but I believe that there is a fairly big market for them. And they don't need to be remastered or anything so that takes one layer of funding away. It's a shame really.
I've been in this crazy business for 33 years and some of those years in retail.... and TV movies have never sold. They didn't sell when I was the head video buyer for Tower Records in the 90s and they haven't sold at any of the video labels I've been at.

They just don't perform and that's why you see very few of them released. Warner Archives is releasing them and doing it that route keeps the costs associated with releasing them down. You only make them when someone orders one.

Most TV movies have never been re-transfered so they are on old tape formats and wouldn't look very good if they were released.

My bad. I don't go on Facebook too much so I assumed it was a tease of something you were going to announce, which I guess you did announce Body Bags shortly after which is great news! Looking at other posts though that one seemed to get much more responses then others so maybe it shows there is quite a bit of interest in these titles, at least from a lot of your fans.

I'm behind on the thread but has the teased September announcement been made yet?

That's too bad. Did Dark Night of the Scarecrow not sell too well, or any of Dan Curtis's titles?

Im not particularly acquainted with that film, so I really have no clue about any details behind it.

All I know Is that I am seconds away from picking up the oop BD, but I really would rather not have to rebuy it again if a better one comes out.

I will probably just hang onto my Steelbook DVD, but I really want a new blu edition. I doubt Warner ever gives us the 40th an. edition.

I'd think that it would no longer be available if that were the case.
Although, they could have a pulled a Mill Creek, but I seriously doubt it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - If I could just get "Witchboard" and "Night of the Demons" from Scream Factory... I would be the happiest person alive

Would it be possible, Cliff, for you guys to put together a John Carpenter box set with The Fog, They Live, Body Bags, and whatever other titles you may acquire in the future? I'm not begging. I'm just curious. The same goes for Craven (Swamp Thing, Deadly Blessing, etc.), Romero (Knightriders, Day of the Dead, etc.) and Hooper (Lifeforce, Funhouse, etc.).

How would you all feel about Synapse releasing Basket Case 2&3 as a double feature, as 3's dvd only had the trailer. I wouldn't hate the idea and even contacted them about it. I also asked for a Blu-ray of Brain Damage. Sorry to go off topic, but Henenlotter is a great filmmaker.

Second Sight's Basket Case trilogy steelbook is region-free and includes an excellent documentary on all three films, plus the extras from the US release of the first film.

I just got my copy of Deadly Blessing from FYE and it didn't have a slipcover, so I guess they're a limited run after all. So, would anyone happen to have a slipcover from Deadly Blessing that they don't want? If not I'll just return my copy to FYE.

Slipcovers aren't limited. We have not stopped making slipcovers for any of the Scream Factory titles.

I'd be all over this one!

Even better would be a set including the TV series as well.

Well that answers that question. That would mean someone threw away the slipcover along the way, thanks FYE! Time to return it and give Best Buy a shot then.

Oh. I wasn't sure if it was all region free or not. I thought that it would be like ROTLD where only the main extra and films would be region free.

I actually have the MGM R1 release. It was less expensive and I decided against the SS release after hearing those kinds of horror stories.

Do you think we will EVER EVER EVER see a release of 'Return of the Living Dead' with the original audio??

How much would it cost for a company to do that version right, and since its Mgm, would we ever see it from Shout!?

MGM cleared a lot of songs on films that was once Home video versions on video. not all, but a lot. If they can't clear a song for domestic release of this, I reckon it must be very very pricey.

There are many many films that could never be released on physical DVD due to this, some unless the tune is removed or changed can be released, while others due to the 3 trk mag no longer in existing, or the whole music score has to be changed due to license fees, so those can never be out on physical pressed discs, titles I am not privlege to mention.
