It still legitimately blows my mind that these 2 films have been relegated to streaming hell and haven't gotten stacked collectors editions from someone. Hellraiser in particular I thought was fantastic and am hoping for a sequel as well as a physical release sooner rather than later.
Can't speak for Hellraiser (still haven't seen it) but I thought the new Chainsaw was unfairly maligned.

The new TCM is a bloody and gory 80 minutes. Doesn't waste time getting to the chainsawing. If we look at the series it's one of the better sequels/remakes/reboots.

Eh. I hated it (Chainsaw, I mean - I liked the new Hellraiser).

Among many dumb ideas, you have the plot of a group of hipsters (from Austin, presumably) trying to gentrify a ghost town. Local county officials treat them with suspicion (by the usual cliches).

Here's the thing, though. They're not trying to displace anyone who already lives there (save one convenient character, the old lady who improbably still lives there), which is how gentrification works. Almost no one lives there.

The county officials should be thanking them and supporting them. The whole thing is just dumb. In the original film, the Sawyer family were displaced from their living by progress. A younger generation without that problem encounters them, creating conflict.

Here, there's no one in town. There's no conflict, save that the town is where Leatherface iss till hiding, so it's just another slasher movie.

Arrgggh. I hated it. Even the bus attack scene everyone likes didn't make any sense. Plus, the movie is obviously copying Halloween, the 2018 version, in all sorts of ways.

I agree with this. Sure it wasn’t the original, part 2, or even TNG (love all 3), but it worked as a whole, though I feel like the Sally stuff could’ve been better.

Just checked the Tomato scores on those Addams Family movies...yikes.

This would be like a five dollar closeout buy, and that's just because of the franchise connection.

Announcements will likely happen in an hour or so. Pages are up at Amazon (I linked above), and pre-orders are live on sites like Deep Discount.

Orphan seems like a pretty big title for them not to be giving a 4K?

Seems more like something I might pick up for $6 on Black Friday from a major studio. This is one of those films hardly anyone talks about

Typical Warner, Criterion barely gets 4K rights from them. Expect a new 2K master on this.

Looks like they are starting to add the May titles. No Killer Klowns added yet though.

Island of Dr Moreau is up at SF. Comes with a poster for all of you that want to display that masterpiece of new art. Good news is it'll have both cuts of the film, though the new scan will just be of the DC.

Honestly rotten Tomatoes scores mean nothing to me but if the movie doesn't appeal to me then I probably won't watch it especially in the case of these animated Addams family movies which looked mediocre. I usually disagree with critics on a lot of my favorite films anyways. However I do love a lot of critically acclaimed films too but there are a lot of films I love that are critically despised.

Sweet I guess I'll buy all three Killer Klowns, Dr. Moreau, and Dracula 2000 looking forward to rewatching two of these.

Leatherface looked like he was wearing a slice of Oscar Mayer ham for a mask, the characters were awful
[Show spoiler](especially the girl who gets decapitated by chainsaw at the end - that death deserved a standing ovation)
, Mick Garris playing Sally Hardesty, a horrible Bulgaria filming location. No offense to anyone who liked it, but man, I thought it was terrible.

Dracula 2000 getting a new 4K Scan from OCN, and approved by the director, so they potentially could have done 4K release here it seems. Also has lots of new extras, so I'm surprised it's not a CE either.
