This thread has devolved into a mess of negativity as of late. Scream Factory has it's faults for sure (Scratched discs being the most obvious issue) but some of ya'll seem to have made it a personal vendetta to complain about everything they do.
I have issues and been actively vocal with Scream/Shout, but I will say their scratch issues (on my end) seem to have died out. Don't know if they've actually done something, but every disc I've gotten this past year has been great. I still look forward to their announcements.

New Line is it's US distributor, Focus features it's international. So I would guess the licence is pricey. But I would make a million dollar bet it would be one of the best selling products for whichever label would want to do it. Same with 'Hills'

The films have a built-in younger audience(being released in the 2000's) as well as an older audience.

I agree too. Ever since they started doing 4Ks, those two remakes always stuck out to me as no-brainers. I'm surprised we never got collectors editions for them, it just seems like a good match for them.

Coming in July

Phantoms (1998) 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)

Dark Angel (1990) 4K UHD (Collector's Edition)

UHF (1989) 4K UHD (35th Anniversary edition)

Ali G Indahouse: The Movie Blu-ray

(Plus, an Ultimate Laika Blu-ray collection (just the previous 4 releases combined), and wide release Steelbooks for Natural Born Killers 4K, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and Point Break 4K)

There may be other titles, but not a bad month so far in my opinion.

Whoa, there's two more. Not for Scream, but two big titles nonetheless.

House of Gucci 4K UHD

The Boy and The Heron 4K (!!)

Steelbook

Be nice to see some more new-to-Blu WB titles, but who knows, maybe they've released everything from the current deal?

I do hope SF can continue to release those and other Warner titles. I am a little concerned about their ability to do so after Cliff left for Arrow (who now have a Warner deal thanks to him).

You'd like to think that since they'd been licencing from WB for 5 years prior to Cliff leaving, all the mechanisms would be in place to simply continue to do so, but I guess you just don't know with Shout Factory these days. I don't believe we really know who is running the show at Scream Factory now, but whoever it is, surely they must have a lot of experience in the business.

I speculated that perhaps Cliff took some Warner titles to Arrow when he departed Shout and I still think this is the case. I wouldn't fret about a lack of Warner titles since Arrow will likely pick up the slack.

Phantoms is a longtime personal favorite so I'm stoked it's getting a 4K upgrade. Keep those Miramax/Dimension upgrades coming. Nice artwork, BTW. Dark Angel is a definite pickup as well but it's something I didn't necessarily need on 4K.

"Ben Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms".

Some really good titles, nothing day one for me, but another varied month, which is always cool.

It's a catch 22. Buy a blu-ray to show interest in the title for a potential 4K, or wait and the 4K doesn't come because not enough interest is shown.

I buy blus if I have a feeling it'll never get a 4K release, I really am sick of the double dipping, but at least UHF has been on Blu for a while, so it's not one of those 1 year or less double dips.

Red Sonja
That's a little disappointing considering it's been released on 4K internationally (albeit not a great release). It is a Warner title here, so that would probably explain it. I also kind of wish Arrow got the title too, to go along with the Conan films (at least in the US). This title doesn't seem to be listed/leaked at other places like the rest, so I guess we'll have to wait and see if it gets announced today, or if it'll be postponed.

I've never seen Phantoms, but it's kind of giving me Tommyknocker vibes with the trailer. Looks interesting enough for a blind buy to me
