With Phantoms coming (Miramax title), I do hope The Faculty is still planned too

Warner's library is vast - in truth we need as many labels licencing from them as possible. With all due respect to Arrow, I don't think their current deal with its probable 26 remaining titles (a number of which I expect will be 4K upgrades of titles already on Blu, or even UK releases of titles previously released by SF in the US) is going to make a dent in that.

And since Scream Factory generally specializes in horror, they're way more likely to go after the remaining unreleased-on-Blu 60s-90s horror titles in the WB catalogue.

Damn, that's a great month for me. I'm in for Boy and the Heron, UHF, Gucci, Ali G and Phantoms

(Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms)

Yeah, I think overall this is a really nice month for SF. Stronger than some recent months at least. I'm with BarnDoor in wishing for more WAC DVD upgrades, but I am glad to see some new to the US BD releases at least.

Red Sonja is massive news for me. One of my most wanted DVD upgrades for a non Asian film.

I get what you're saying but Warner has always been somewhat stubborn with their library as you already know, only licensing to Shout and, to a lesser extent, Criterion. Maybe they're beginning to loosen up more, which would be a good thing, needless to say. You're certainly right about the studio's vast library and much of it being untouched so, yes, it would take multiple deals with more third parties to make a dent.

There may be other titles, but not a bad month so far in my opinion.
Let’s see this is honestly a great month compared to June where I wasn’t really interested in anything. Going to pick up Phantoms as that’s finally getting a Blu-Ray re-release it’s about time too also Red Sonja which also got announced too. Maybe Dark Angel even though the Blu-Ray is quite cheap these days I might just buy the original Blu-Ray from Scream Factory honestly. Excited for Phantoms, and Red Sonja though especially Phantoms

I wonder if they will ever release 4Ks for Humanoids From The Deep, Galaxy of Terror, Forbidden World, Food of the Gods, Empire of the Ants, Deadly Eyes and Tentacles. Or did someone else acquire the Corman library?

So we ended up getting three new-to-Blu (in the US at least) Warner Bros titles in July after all. Can't say I'm interested in any of them but it's encouraging nonetheless.

Yep, looks like it. Storytelling (2001) too, both part of the Shout Select line

I would think the first three are very likely. Food of the Gods, Empire of the Ants and Tentacles are with MGM. Deadly Eyes is Fortune Star via Golden Harvest.

That's a crazy big lineup. Something like 8 titles? I only need Phantoms and maybe Dark Angel. I'll have to revisit my BD of the latter to determine if an upgrade is warranted for my collection.

Phantoms is a longtime personal favorite so I'm stoked it's getting a 4K upgrade. Keep those Miramax/Dimension upgrades coming. Nice artwork, BTW. Dark Angel is a definite pickup as well but it's something I didn't necessarily need on 4K.
That isn't really how licensing from a studio works. Cliff couldn't take titles with him. Usually a company submits a list and the licensor says yes or no to the titles. Now Cliff could have asked again for titles that WB said no to while he was at Shout.
