It should be noted that they said 'No' to Prince of Darkness several times in the past, so 'No' doesn't necessarily mean 'Never'. It really depends on who they're trying to get the rights from and which movies as well.

Prince of Darkness is #50 if you count Dead Souls and Cockneys Vs Zombies...
If you do not, it is #48.

They were very upfront about not getting it in their first Universal deal, they all but assured us they would be getting it in the next one. Looks like they did.

Prince of Darkness couldn't be part of the first one, as they would have more than likely released it already if they got it with Halloween II and They Live, etc.

In the past, Cliff has said that if there weren't HD masters, they wouldn't receive BD releases. Presumably the Dirty Mary/Race with the Devil DVDs had were HD transfers, as they are getting upgrades.

Im pretty sure for some reason they have gotten Wes Craven titles too..Im not a fan , but just a hunch..
Id rather them get the Car !

The amount of incredible titles they are churning out is really unprecedented. Even at the height of Anchor Bay's DVD output it was nothing like this. I absolutely adore Prince of Darkness and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Well since Shout Factory has released MST3K versions of the Mole People Deadly Mantis, ones mind could venture to say that it could be possible...but I tend to think if Universal were to release them in HD they would do it themselves since they have done DVDs for them...
I hope Cliff gets Carpenters the Thing for a Collectors Edition with the same features from the DVD and Blu Ray and adds a ton of more extras from Red Shirt Pictures !
From Universal, The Car and The Thing would be at the top of my list..

I am willing to bet they will get more and more titles they were told no on in the past because of the quality they are delivering and the brand recognition they are quickly developing. I am sure a few of the big guys have been impressed with their efforts and will lead to some new opportunities.

Congrats to Cliff and the Scream gang, and congrats to the genre fans.
