Black Christmas '06 is a Weinstein linked title. I don't see it coming from anyone any time soon. That said, I did just buy this yesterday...

So a domestic announcement would be par for the course.

I went back to last year on Twitter and they posted about a Summertime sale on July 28th, no idea if they will do it again around that time or not though

Not joking, I've gotten so sick of waiting for it, I just picked this up today.

So I'm right there with you, the announcement should be coming momentarily.

Please let it be August there’s too many sales going on this month it’s absolutely ridiculous. Even though, I’m literally avoiding most of the sales except the Criterion, and Kino Lorber sales along with the one week VS sale.

Black X-Mas is with Lionsgate. Shout doesn't have a deal with them, do they?

I don’t think they’ve had it for a while. I would think it would have been a Vestron release by now if it was.

They haven't been touching the Weinstein stuff until recently. Hannibal Rising is quietly getting a US Blu-ray debut in a upcoming Steelbook series. Something similar could happen with Black Xmas.

Scream Factory re-released Halloween on 4K and that was a title previously put out on 4K by Lionsgate. This gives me hope that they can license more Lionsgate titles such as Black Christmas 2006 and Chopping Mall. Would absolutely love 4K Collector's Editions of those movies!

They didn’t license Halloween from Lionsgate. Lionsgate lost the rights to Halloween and Scream factory picked it up.

Lionsgate needs to lose the rights to Black Christmas 2006 and Chopping Mall so Scream Factory can pick them up!

SF apparently has Chopping Mall. Lionsgate lost the rights, and according to Brad Henderson from Terror-Vision, SF picked it up.

For what it's worth they did collaborate twice on 2 releases:

-Power Rangers Legacy: The First 20 Seasons
-My Little Pony Movie Double Feature

Run time is listed as 90 minutes (So R-Rated cut). I'll report back if it turns out to be the full uncut version when the disc arrives. Here's the back cover in the meanwhile.

The German release purportedly has all 3 cuts of the film but is Region B locked if you're looking for a more complete package. I was able to pick up this version for $16.99 and figured that it was good enough for me for now.

I went with the German release for the unrated, but also because it has the European cut which apparently has characters not in the US version. Never saw it; but looking forward to it.

Will keep an eye out for a possible summer sale by Shout (have added a few titles onto my want list). Hoping for a television boxsets sale also.

They are due to have a box set sale during July. Another great option is to use the Target B2G1 sale option if you can mix your sets in similar price groups. Good luck!!
