A lot of people are talking about 'In The Mouth of Madness', because its the only of Carpenter's apocalypse trilogy that wont be on BD now, but it is with Warner so I highly doubt we see this from any company, much less Scream.

I'm not claiming I've seen it and say it's great without doing so just that from a business standpoint, it's an easy way to sell it to the public even to get in big name stores like Walmart.
It might be good enough for DVD but people would like a Special Edition Blu Ray of Pumpkinhead...maybe its not high on their food chain because of the DVD releases
-of the Carpenter films - Village of the Damned makes sense...maybe Vampires...
In the Mouth of Madness is with Warner so forget it..and Christine was just released by Twilight Time (did someone actually not know this ?? )

What about Nomads though? Shouldn't that be an easy sell?

Ghosts of Mars... Already out from Sony in a fairly decent SE. I'd pick up their release before the title is dumped to Mill Creek and stripped of it's supplements.

Christine - Already released from Sony via Twilight Time. Sold out, and not coming back around domestically for at least two years.

Assault on Precinct 13 - Depends if Image still has the right to the film, already has a decent supplement on the current Blu-ray.

Halloween - This one would be interesting, if the right are available, I believe it is currently controlled by Anchor Bay. I would be stunned if Criterion came back in to sweep up the title, if it became available again. (For those of you older than 25, Criterion did release this on Laserdisc.)

Assuming that Shout might have the remaining Universal films, we have Memoirs of an Invisible Man, In the Mouth of Madness and Vampires...

Warner will probably release In the Mouth of Madness and Memoirs of an Invisible Man eventually.

Vampires best hope is going to Twilight Time through the Sony deal. If it goes to Mill Creek, it will probably be bare bones as a double feature with a stripped down Ghosts of Mars.

Any chance of Scream Factory getting the rights to "Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat"? I'd love that on Blu-Ray!

I think in the ever changing world of physical media releases that no today doesn't mean no two months from now no matter what studio has it. Deals can be made with the simple change of a thought process.

Universal has a fairly decent sized catalog, with some big titles, and cult titles too.

Craven / Carpenter Films:

[Show spoiler]Shocker
The People Under the Stairs
Serpent and the Rainbow

Village of the Damned
The Thing

Big-Ish Name Titles:

[Show spoiler]Sssssss
Raising Cain
Nightmares
Roller Coaster
The Watcher
Andromeda Strain
The Island Earth
The Sentinel
The Car

Cult Titles:

[Show spoiler]Boy Who Cried Werewolf
The Incredible Shrinking Woman
Death Becomes Her
MST3K: the Movie
Invaders from the Deep
Burned at the Stake
Island of Terror

Franchises:

[Show spoiler]
Firestarter / Firestarter II
Psycho II / III / IV / Bates Motel
Darkman / Darkman II / Darkman III
Tremors / Tremors II / III / IV
Jaws II / III/ IV
The Hitcher 2 / The Hitcher (remake)

And so many more:

[Show spoiler]
Classic Monsters Films
Original Poe Movies
etc.

And there is also Army of Darkness in it's other cuts, and Universal may also now own Sleepaway Camp, but it was never fully confirmed.

But I would bet that these would be the ones they pooled their releases from.

and John Carpenter was associated with both HALLOWEEN II and HALLOWEEN III.

Ghost or Mars?
Christine?

No need for ASSAULT, as there is already a pretty good blu release already. ELVIS should be fairly easy to do, as it was released in the UK on blu (with a really nice transfer to boot).

I would frankly LOVE to see them release a much better version of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. HDnet plays this every so often, and it looks SO much better than what MGM released on blu (besides, it would be nice to have the extras from the dvd ported at the least).

While it would be interesting to see what a newer remaster of HALLOWEEN would look like, the current Anchor Bay disc is still pretty damn good looking. DARK STAR looks probably as good as it ever will... so there's really not too many Carpenter films left to put out.

They licensed it from Universal though, who also released the original Blu-Ray. Which was never meant to be definitive in any way.

A company doesn't just sub-license film to multiple companies at once.

In a few years when the right expire, assume they aren't renewed and Sony/Republic is more open to letting Shout have a go, then we might see it as a Scream title.

& the Lionsgate owned film The Eyes of Laura Mars, which he didn't direct but did create the story.

I hope Cliff gets Carpenters the Thing for a Collectors Edition with the same features from the DVD and Blu Ray and adds a ton of more extras from Red Shirt Pictures !
From Universal, The Car and The Thing would be at the top of my list..
Probably Sssssss as well

+1

The Thing needs a update for sure.

The Car would be cool also. I would also like to see Spielberg "Duel" on blu.

And there is also Army of Darkness in it's other cuts, and Universal may also now own Sleepaway Camp, but it was never fully confirmed.

But I would bet that these would be the ones they pooled their releases from.
I'm salivating at so many of the possibilities on that list...especially the Psycho and Jaws sequels, Raising Cain...and perhaps the No. 1 overdue for a Blu: Death Becomes Her, which doesn't even have an OAR DVD release! C'mon!!!

I'm hoping for Raising Cain too, love the art and It is a genuine creepy movie.

Also, I want Roller Coaster from 1977!! A serial killer who targets amusement parks and tries to blow up rides!! Amazing! lol.
