Actually, that is the original poster art. The poster with the three leads in full is better known but the full original poster had their faces in small squares below the title.

My beef is that they've removed the tagline, which I don't understand.

Arrow, Arrow, Arrow! If not WHV themselves. (No, not Warner Archive).

Definitely in for The Wolfman and Drag Me to Hell. I was hoping for a 4K upgrade of House on Haunted Hill '99, House of Wax '05, The Thing (2011) or even Carpenter's The Thing with the original audio restored. Also Poltergeist III. Hopefully Nov. or Dec.

Solid to great films from Zemeckis, Raimi, Romero, and Craven in UHD, from a company with a mostly flawless record on 4K transfers and HDR (Platoon a rare misfire). The bellyaching is hilarious.

Not a big enough fan of any of these to own them. That's ok as there are a couple of other October horror releases that I'm looking forward to getting.

Not really. Your best bet with scream/shout titles is grabbing them as preordered during a target b2g1 sale.

Happy to see so many titles up for sale this October. Disappointed in the selection as there isn't any one title that really stands out to me as a show stopper. My wallet is happy as there isn't anything I feel the urge to upgrade from those listed, I am disappointed as I was hoping for something "big". (I was really hoping for Night of the Living Dead '90).

I'm confused by Night of the Living Dead '90, wasn't that already released by Sony, or is it not good enough, cause I've been hearing people saying they want Scream to release it but it's been released, I'm genuinely curious because I might have to add it back onto the wishlist Poll I have

I was hoping for a 4k release. That said, the best version worldwide is still the unofficial TeamBlu Release and so even if all it got was yet another Blu Ray edition, it'd still have the potential to outshine all those that came before it. At this point though I want a high end Second Sight esque collectors edition with a Chipboard box, UHD, Remastered Blu Ray with The theatrical cut, the workprint and anything we can get as far as a reconstructed R rated version with the gore restored. Throw in a 150 - 200 page book and a poster or lobby cards and you've got my money without second thought.

More re-releases/upgrades from SF and then you now have Arrow doing re-releases of Scream titles. We are in re-release hell.

Not the Halloween I was hoping for, but so be it.

i get it, they sell. thats why they keep coming out. they cant win.

david gregory from severin said something on the recent podcast. people will complain about upgrades, but then at the same ignore the new to disc stuff. it really doesnt matter lol.

there are so many sales going on all the time, this isnt the worst. ill have more money for the criterion flash sale lol.

dont mint death becomes her getting a 4K. its been eight years since it first came out. this is such a beautifully shot movie.

I've said myself, it is impossible to please everyone. That is true. I also love seeing older discs like The Stepfather get upgrades, because they need them.

Halloween usually delivers some surprises and a 'WOW' factor. No requested new to disc stuff and a glut of re-releases/upgrades is a disappointment. A nice 50/50 mix of fresh to disc stuff and upgrades would have been more well received. As for Severin, 70% of their latest accouncements can not be used an argument for people ignoring new to disc stuff.

If smaller labels like FCE can release fresh to disc stuff like Heavenly Bodies and Paradise, a label with tons more capital like SF should be able to do better than what has been announced for October, imo.

Not a knock on anyone that is happy with the annoucements either. I was just hoping/expecting to at least be a little bit 'WOWED'

Dude, they announced only 6 titles. You will get people saying I am disappointed no matter what. People here are acting like they are supposed to announce 20 horror movies

This time's October titles felt like ones you'd see released in September where they are like appetizers for the real big meal they got cooking the following month where they release the really big sellers.

There aren't many "big" unreleased titles left to tackle, and whatever is left is either mired in legalities or controlled by people who don't understand or care about physical media. I feel like I post this every other month lol.

We've passed a saturation point and that's why we're seeing so many reissues. There's stuff that's unreleasable for whatever reason, the rest has been done ad nauseum. No doubt there's a lot of MIA stuff out there as well, as the sock account has proven with his extensive lists, but how much of that is doable?
