Yeah. It was the last piece of art I expected them to use for a steelbook release. I may end up getting it anyways, for the new extras and because this is like The Wizard of Oz, where I can't have too many copies because I love it so much.

Do we think that a non-steelbook release is coming too?

Definitely, and I believe there was some sort of leak hinting at some sort of mega set/bundle also. Would not be surprised to see site exclusive slip options for both of these.

It would be neat to see a 4K of The Serpent and the Rainbow.
(With the Shocker 4K in October why not keep the Wes Craven 4K train going)

Maybe even beef up the older extras to make em more complete.

- The Bill Pullman commentary ends 53mins in which leaves 45min of empty space. Ya could either get Pullman back or someone else to finish the rest and make that commentary feel complete.

- The making of has a flub in the credits where Wes Cravens name was misspelled as “Wes Carven”. a reissue would allow them to correct that.

- Add new stuff or license extras from other releases
the 2024 Via Vision Blu-Ray includes an exclusive commentary:
- Audio Commentary by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas (2024)

I really like that The Dark Crystal steelbook I haven’t seen the film in years way back when I caught it on tv a few times. It’s really scary and the Skeksis are still some of the most terrifying villains in film even today. So I’ll definitely be pre-ordering that film’s steelbook, and I still need to buy that 4K of The Last Unicorn this year as I still don’t own it yet.

So based off the backcovers for the new 4ks, only upgrades over existing versions for dark crystal are dolby vision the stereo, and one new extra, then on labyrinth just those two new extras. Disappointing but at least both have the audio commentary on the 4k I suppose

Maybe it was a trap to isolate the leaks.

A Psycho films boxset aside (including all previous extras (documentary The Psycho Legacy among them), I'm hoping that also in the works from Shout (but very unlikely, even though I stay optimistic) are TV boxsets of:

- Police Story and Starsky & Hutch (Blu-ray releases with original closing logos), as well as a DVD release of Joe Forrester (if the elements aren't good enough for a Blu-ray release)

- a release of Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction? (including an interview with Jonathan Frakes, who I enjoyed a lot when he presented the show (he had a mischievous glint in his eye when speaking after each segment in Seasons 2 and 3)

- and some TV films licensed from Warner Brothers like Dying Room Only.

For Psycho I'll probably just import Arrow's UK Release

^ I've been so tempted to import the Arrow, but I feel like a Scream release is imminent.

That said, they will probably only do 2 & 3, so may import the Arrow regardless after they're announced.

I dithered, ending up not getting Arrow's Psycho Collection Blu-ray boxset. There is still the Story Continues boxset (minus the essay booklet). So I've been waiting to see what Shout might announce (I have an older UK Blu-ray of the original Psycho, so if Shout did announce a set of the sequels only that would be very welcome).

Back cover says it's made by The CRP Group. They appear to be a major designing firm in Hollywood. They've done a number of different covers for SF, and a couple for Blue Underground as well.

I gotta say this is a pretty good lineup too bad I only want that set at the top, and Hush, and that Dark Crystal steelbook the other titles minus Krampus, Bones and All, and Labryinth I'm not in any hurry to buy. I wish there was more new to Blu-Ray titles rather than mostly 4K upgrades. At least Arrow Video is putting out A Simple Plan, and Tomie two big new to Blu-Ray titles.

That being said, Hush and that Golden Harvest horror set are pretty good titles to add to my collection. I will definitely be picking up Rush, Escape from New York, and Born on the Fourth of July at some point. I'm just not in any hurry to order them immediately. Way better lineup than last month when all I was interested was Shocker, and Doomsday.

Pretty great month in my opinion. Very excited for the Golden Harvest set, and Hush. Bones and All 4K is a great pickup as well. I would have liked to see more new to Blu-ray titles (particularly Warner Archive DVD upgrades), but SF seems to be moving away from that. There isn't, as of yet, any Scream CE upgrades among them, so I wonder if we'll see one show up.

Not a great line up, sadly, but my wallet will be happy!

Hush 4k and Born on the 4th of July 4k’s for me.
