Everything from that lineup I’m interested in are re-releases that I already own on blu-ray so money saved.

Silent Night Deadly Night is a great announcement, but I'm going to need to read some reviews before ordering. I love both the first and second film, but I have a hard time believing that this film will provide enough of a visual bump to justify a double dip (at least at full price). Hopefully screens and reviews prove me wrong. SNDN is a yearly watch during December and so I'd love to see a definitive addition released.

I've bout a bunch of Shout/Scream stuff the past year or so, only thing that arrived damaged was my 4k copy of the fog that had a pretty nasty scratch that I bought during a sale. I sent a picture and they mailed me a replacement pretty quick.

All of the Shout 4K's I've bought had deep scratches and needed replacements due to playback issues. Thankfully they replaced them with just a photo but it is ridiculous and it's prevented me from upgrading any further titles.

Needed 4K replacements for...

Halloween
Halloween II
Halloween III
Black Christmas
The Return of the Living Dead
Creepshow
The Fog

Any word on new Super Sentai and Kamen Rider releases? It’s been almost 2 years since Dekaranger. I would like to go back to pre-Hasbro buying PR days and have a Super Sentai title released every 3 months. As for Kamen Rider there’s so much Heisei Phase 1 & Phase 2 to go through but 2 or 3 a year would make me so happy.

The fact that you're still defending this is kind of wild.

Imagine any other product being sold with scratches.

"But it's the disc manufacturing plant's fault."
Well, as a business, Shout needs to lean on its partners to deliver a quality product.
Maybe the disc replicating plant in Mexico is run by drug cartels and Shout Factory doesn't want to make them angry by demanding them to have better quality control. Hey, it's possible!

Lots of exciting titles here, but I can't get too excited seeing the seven-fingered, gooey-skinned grim reaper on the horizon.

I'd argue they have gotten better. I used to give Shout crap for the scratched discs, but the "newest disc" that you needed a replacement for was released over a year ago (Creepshow)

I have not received a scratched disc in over a year from Shout after getting them constantly. I have also. Noted less and less people complaining about scratches as of late. So I'd argue that maybe indeed the issue for fixed.

I was having a decent run of clean discs lately until Village Of The Damned. Before that, the last scratched up discs I had from Shout were Darkman and Silver Bullet.

But The Strangers, The Stepfather, Amityville, Poltergeist II, Species II, Phantoms, etc all being scratch-free had me hoping we'd put this behind us as well.

Sounds like you're one of the lucky few. I also forgot to mention my copy of Thinner Blu-ray from January also needed a replacement.

Just hoping one of those last two missed titles is Kamen Rider or Sentai

Well, I am going on 3,000 blurays/4ks without any meaningful scratches. By that I mean, if there are any scratches then it has not affected playback.

Not one - from any label. Based on what I am reading in this forum, I must very fortunate.

The fact that your discs aren’t scratched doesn’t mean mine or others' aren't or weren’t.

I think I may place an order since it's been a while.
Then I could report back here what I received.
I'm wondering if I should film the unboxing end to end.

Did you try asking politely or did you just shoot off an angry email threatening not to buy from them ever again? Because that might not work.

No, I was polite throughout my exchanges. I've never directly told them I'd never buy from them again (there really isn't a need for that)

I requested disc replacements due to several discs being scratched from a sale, which affected both 4Ks and Blu-rays.

It wasn’t my first time encountering this. Trick 'r Treat was the first. (So it has been a while)

They asked for photos, and I understood that, but I quickly realized how difficult it is to properly focus the camera to capture some of the scratches.
If you focus on one part, the other scratches don’t show, and photographing all the discs took time.

Some discs had bubbles as if it was delaminating and some looked like they had been buffed by a sheet of 1200 grit sandpaper.

After sending all the requested photos and confirming that playback was indeed affected, they asked for videos because of the number of discs I reported as scratched and having playback errors.
I was annoyed but stayed polite. I explained that it wasn’t good customer service to require the customer to provide video evidence in addition to photos.

Why couldn't they provide a return shipping label, so I could return the discs and let them verify the scratches and playback issues themselves?

They refused to replace the discs without the videos but offered a refund if I returned them, which I accepted.

I think their issue is that their responses aren’t particularly professional.
They often publicly call out the customer on TrustPilot.
While I’m sure some people can be ridiculous, I assure you, I was not one of them.
