What's can't be ignored is that the cheaper reissues help fund the new transfers and/or rights to the ones not currently on Blu. As much as it's disliked, it's necessary.

I never got why people get upset when stuff gets re-issued. I get the collector aspect of it. But I would rather have movies always be available to buy and own than have to rush and drop hundreds each week to make sure you get them before they are gone. not everyone has been collecting as long as others. I welcome all reissues.

Any news on the Rob Zombie Halloween films? I know they are with Lionsgate who are apparently really hard to license from but it would be nice if we got 4Ks of those to complete the set.

With you there! Especially when the company puts enough heart into it to attempt a definitive final edition (VS, Arrow, Kino, Shout) instead of a worse release than the previous BD (MVD Rewind, Mill Creek).

This 100%

Every movie should be available and always in print. Crying about an OOP title getting re-released just because their edition is now worth less is just stupid. These are movies not baseball cards or any other collectible item. They’re meant to be watched.

While I agree with this, every re-release can be different so it depends. Some are just cash grabs and some are pointless that prevent a different label from giving it a 4K. Poor releases that get upgraded are always welcomed. Every movie should be available. That I agree with.

Any complaining I have personally done is more of the fact that I’m bored of pointless re-releases and I want more fresh to disc stuff, which is also just as fair of a comment as those defending re-releases such as new collectors and those of us that have collected a long time and lived through an unbearable amount of re-releases.

I find the slipcovers to be useless in this situation, original art on the slip and case sleeve. I do like what they did with the Creepshow 4k release though.

Since we’re putting out top 3 Carpenter films here’s mine
The Thing
Big Trouble in Little China
Escape from New York

I find Halloween super overrated not due to the directing, Cinematography, acting, or music, but mostly having to do with it just being a bit boring, and me not finding Michael Myers scary. Pinhead is a way way more frightening slasher villain in my opinion speaking of which I really need to pick up the Hellraiser films on Blu-Ray from Arrow Video, but yeah Pinhead has a very terrifying design that just really stands out, and oh there’s also his voice which is absolutely scary. Pinhead> Michael Myers

Anyways, my honorable mentions are
Body Bags
Black Moon Rising very very underrated film
