That reminds me I need to pick up The Fog, and Vampires at some point later this year probably in November most likely. I also really need to do a rewatch of the Fog at some point as it has been say 11-12 years since I last watched it.

I hate those eco-cases. If you're not careful the paper insert could get a hole punched through it.

HK action movies and Martial Arts are what's hot at the moment and that market was severely underserved until the floodgates were opened...now people can't get enough, and that's primarily who the labels are catering to. Once that cycle ends, what will the studios focus on? My answer is, more re-releases. The studios can't release what isn't "licensable" or available for whatever reason. We can grit our teeth or keep upgrading our favorite movies while we wait for rights to clear and owners to be located.
We need more labels to release more anime! There is a lot of stuff that can get released or reissued that are currently out of print.

Ugh, really? For the premium prices they charge, that's absolutely ridiculous. I can't stand that kind of crap.

Going to throw a curveball here, but for pure entertainment purposes, one of my favourite and most rewatched John Carpenter flicks that I would put in my top 3 is......

The first segment alone is worth it, but it is a fun ride overall regardless.

My Carpenter top 3:

The Thing
Escape from NY
They Live

The Fog gets an honorable mention, as does Precinct 13 (which always feels like an Escape prequel - 'crime rate rises 400%') and Mouth of Madness.

Probably everything in the “New Releases” section on their website would be excluded, which goes back several months and probably includes a lot of things you wanted to use the coupon on in the first place.

yeah. I realize that now. Would have definitely bought less items - could have saved me over $50. Oh well. lesson learned for next sale.

Incorrect. If a title ever arrives with an eco-case, let us know. We do our best to avoid them, though the occasional one does slip through the cracks.

Since you're fielding questions Shout!, I have some:

-Will Ted have both Theatrical and Unrated cuts?

-And for the Wallace and Gromit 4K set:
--Will The Wrong Trousers have its original music restored?
--Any more (or new) extras going to be added or just what's currently listed?
--Will Curse of the Were-Rabbit have the UK "Marrow" audio or the US "Melon" audio (doesn't matter which one, I'm just curious).
-Any chance of releasing the TMNT films from New Line/Warner next year or has another label sublicensed them?

Apologies for being so anxious and thanks so much in advance!

UPDATE: Nevermind that question about the audio pitch for the W&G box set; it'll FINALLY BE CORRECTED (all thanks to you Shout!!!):

And a special shoutout to Hardback247 for asking and getting the info first!

Is Black Christmas (2006) (aka Black X-Mas) a title that Scream Factory would be interested in releasing as a 4K UHD/Blu-ray combo or even just as a Blu-ray? Supposedly, Lionsgate has it, but it seems like they're never going to do anything with it. Just seems really strange that after 18 years, the film still doesn't have a Blu-ray release in the US. I'd love a 4K UHD/Blu-ray combo with both the Unrated and R rated theatrical cut, a commentary track with the girls (Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Lacey Chabert, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Crystal Lowe), and any extra deleted footage.

My copy of Thinner arrived with an eco cut-out case. It was bought from a third-party Amazon.ca seller, and arrived still shrink-wrapped.

Two of those came out the same month. It's possible there was some sort of shortage, or other reason why an Eco was used. It's certainly not typical for their releases to be in eco cases, so making generalizations based on a handful of releases seems a bit hyperbolic.

They asked if a title ever comes in an eco-case to let them know, so I did.

I agree, it is out of the norm.

Some of these Sold Out/Going OOP makes me head hurt, cause I want to know if it's just generic site text or if it's real, for example

The Clovehitch Killer

This is in the OOP list, but under Sold Out it has the "Email me when available" and it's clickable... so are more still coming or is it just a website goof, if so, someone needs to make sure all OOP titles don't have that displayed at all, cause it doesn't help with Limited Editions either

They Live [Limited Edition Steelbook]

anyways They really need to make it so titles they do NOT have more of don't have that "Email me when available" available to click, because they will be disappointed when they will never get the email... unless they happen to find more like other times (Like when they are actually surprised to discover more)

How strict are Shout preorders to on sale dates?

I’d like to watch The Holdovers with someone but like the week before it streets. Does ordering direct sometimes get releases a little early?
